This is totally a chaos resistance fight.
I have read/seen a lot of contradicting stuff from streamers with 150ex CI turbo regen builds etc but I don't care what anyone says. The storms do a blend with a significant amount of chaos and they are by far the most dangerous part of the fight. The difference between -30/51/75 chaos resistance makes a drastic difference when running next to the storms. To the point where my first run I would be near dead just running next to them for a few moments, to my last run where I was super sloppy and engaged him in two phases with a storm almost underneath him. I could have skipped a lot of research with contradicting information just by knowing that I needed maxed chaos resistance, a bar full health/mana flasks and the pantheon that recharges them (or some alternate form of sustain). This is a chaos resistance fight. |

I have CI and 8500 es
insta die to anything, minions melt when they aren't even touching the storms. Its not chaos, its this poorly designed rofl-stomp fight. GGG Really dropped the ball on this one. |

Sirus is the worst fight I've ever seen by ggg... I've stopped playing poe because of how BS the fight is.
Really bad design with Sirus sitting up in the sky randomly and you need to stack life regen, life, and chaos resist or you dont have a chance... Very bad arena design with objects that block you so you can't run past for the maze part. The actual fight isn't hard it just doesn't make sense, You stand around for a minute waiting for him to come back down while you sit in the corner of the map to avoid the chaos tornados, feels REALLY broken but that's the way you're supposed to fight him I guess... Overall I feel pretty let down by GGG, I got a few friends to play with me this league but they've all quit due to FPS lag in a group and bad boss design. I keep telling myself next league might be better but after 3-4 bad leagues with major flaws I seriously doubt it. |

Just had my first Sirus fight (yeah, whatever, I'm slow) and had the walls of balls of death issue, especially at the spawn. I knew this was a problem going in, but it's now the 5th and I thought this would have been fixed. I mean, if anything, just get rid of them, or make them much much smaller. Go online, check patch notes, and nope. Still not fixed. WTF? How is this still an issue?

The staff is off on extended xmas vacation. Fixes (maybe) will show up 2nd or 3rd week of Feb 2020.

Just had my second Sirus fight experience, and I need to release some frustration. I've used 11/12 portals because of the stupid chaos storm environment immune phase. This is by far the worst encounter I've seen in this game in 6 years of playing. It makes the initial release Catarina fight look flawlessly done. Not only did I go in blind so I had no idea what to expect the first time, which led me to wasting 4 portals before even fighting him. But, after figuring it out, the chaos storm manipulation and hit boxes are absolutely the worst. Not only is the damage unreal, but if you only run one or two HP pots, you have no way to get between the storms without a blink arrow or lightning warp. I'm feeling soooo bad for shield charge or whirling blade builds for that fight.
Did no one try this fight before release? It is not challenging, it is frustrating. There is no way to know what to do when you zone in, and once you figure it out, you are basically versus an environment not a boss. The boss, once he is out of immunity, is super fun. But the environment interaction, and constant immunity phasing, ruins the encounter completely. You'd think after all the complaining and issues towards immunity bosses they would stop putting in so many. The new guardian fights are so fun, but they crapped the bed with Sirus. Pros: -Looks cool. -Actual boss fight is unique/challenging. -Like the fact that your camera pans out... sometimes? Cons: -Environmental interaction damage is insane. -No idea or information on what to do, or how to engage boss. -Hit boxes are not clear. Died at the edge of the map trying to regain hp?? -Can screw yourself by leading storms to block yourself from re entering. -No way to gain flask charges, while dealing with a damaging environment. There is a reason mobs are in the labyrinth, remember? -If you die, re entering his 'arena' can kill you without a blink arrow/lightning warp. -No warp ability = GL moving between close chaos storms. -Risk breaking computer equipment out of frustration. Need moral support from friends/family after encounter. |
