Sirus fight is making me quit POE

And devs already came back from holidays and GGG didn't even gave us an answer about this cancer.

The company is no longer what it used to be...

Definitely not gonna put up with that grind another time...
GGG please listen to the comments posted here. Alot of good feedback here, better worded than i could. For now i'm out of the game hoping the fun is brought back again for a casual like me.
Really unhappy with my experience with this fight. I think the difficulty of phase 1/2 is too low, the fight is just too simple until P3. If you ignore the storms (which you can, unless you die and get screwed by them), 2/3 of the fight is easier than any of the shaper/elder guardians. Sirus doesn't have enough variety to his attacks until P3.

The storms are a bad mechanic. They're too big, too slow, do too much damage, their graphic doesn't match the area that actually does damage, and the best way to deal with them is to hide in a corner until Sirus paths your way and make him push the storm out of the way.

The ridiculous storms and the bugs are what really ruin the fight. You can have a perfectly good run go from good to over in a second.

It just feel bad to play. The meteor maze is the only "fun" mechanic of the fight - that is, unless he spawns it on zone geometry and you can't escape it!

Please make some changes to this fight this league - and perhaps revisit it majorly in future patches. It doesn't feel like the "ultimate" endgame fight. It feels like just another conqueror fight that's slower and filled with bugs.

p.s. running back through 3 empty mini-zones when you die is annoying too.

Be glad that the genius that cane up with a holiday release did not think of putting storms in there. He might have if someone would have told him that fight wouldnt already suck ^^'
simply the mechanics are bad. It takes a long time to get to the boss, and when it arrives we get lost and lose all portals. Even though I killed him once, I still found the fight bad.

All this just makes me have good hopes in Diablo 4. Come Blizzard, save us,
and don't do the sh.t you did in d3. Listen to your community.

Amazing how I went from a guy who defends poe with all his strength, to a guy hating the game but still playing for being sadomasochistic and hopeful. (hat did they do to me ggg?) :(
Can't believe GGG was actually proud of this fight. What a joke.
Ok, I am trying to stay constructive here instead of raging around, which would be totally fine I guess after like 10 failed attempts even on awekening lvl 0. I know you don't like to patch things during a running league which I understand as resources are needed for the new league and it is a bad thing to influence the economy of a league. The problem is this fight is not challenging at all, it is simply missconcepted from the beginning to the end. 90% of the fight is completely boring as you are forced to dodge his laser beams only. You could do this hours without having any trouble, especially the first phase could as well be skipped. The real problems are the almost impossible to see ground effects (when will you guys realize that it is a bad idea to balance things around the possibility of players to recognize contrasts? Not everyone is born with the same ability to differentiate between certain colors, you are assuming noone has any kind oy red-green or other color blindnesses, you are locking people out of playing your game by doing this over and over again). The maze thing is an ok concept but suffers from the fact that the path finding is sometimes a problem anyway which causes the character to keep moving back into the maze instead of following the slim path out. When you get into this phase on the stairs you just lose a life or have to log out and the fight is basically lost for you unless you are super lucky with the storms. The wall phase is an interesting concept, probably the only thing that is acceptable in this fight. Still if you would try to solve this challenge (which you probably won't because this boss is simply not beatable anyway for someone who does not play 20h each day) you are again suffering from the pathing issues.

So as many people already mentioned, the biggest problem of the fight: The storms, here we simply are at the point where a bad concept is implemented even worse. Even if 1000 people tell me to stay calm in this phase what I totally are as I do not care about the outcome of the fight anyway any more because I know I will never be able to win this unfair fight, the static storms are not as immobile as people like to say. You can even try to copy some streamers move patterns when you are lucky you can do as they do, in the other case some static storms are blocking your way out and the fight is lost for you. Noone knows what the storms that are supposed to chase you are doing if you are too far away from them, way to many times they end up somewhere close to the entrance and again, the fight is over. There is absolutely nothing enjoyable about this mechanic, knowledge does not anyhow help you to solve it as you cannot predict so many things. Already the beginning of the phase is garbage: When a storm is being created you are pushed away every like 0.5 seconds for about 5-10 times. Nice, maybe this should prevent you from running into the newly created storm, unfortunately it can also push you into some storm at the border of the circle. Again the biggest problem, there is nothing enjoyable about this, yeah sometimes it works out for you if you are lucky with the movement of the static storms. How is a player supposed to micro manage the area (even if this is a bad concept in the first place, but if they have to) if they have to mechanic besides luck to actually influence the storms?

You clearly do two different approaches of encounters: Multy try and single try, which is a fine concept. For special things like incursion, delve or even metamorphs you only get one change. This is obvious by not having 6 portals and encourages the player to not be sloppy on the try, improve the equipment beforehand, do anything possible to not let the chance for a good loot go. This fight is not a multi try fight, the question if you get a second try or not is completely rng, this is just a bad concept. The real problem here is that the mechanic which seems to be the concept to limit the players tries (as bad as this would be) is also killing you in the first place.

So what to do now: As I already mentioned, I don't expect this to be fixed within the league as bad as the fight is, you could of course at least make the ground effects visible but this is only a detail, will not save the league. In this league we end up having to farm the currency if we want that awekening gems which are extremely expensive as almost noone can farm Sirus. Those few people who can are offering carry services which are completely crazily priced (1 exa + loot for the carry) again to the fact that for 99% of players this is the only chance to get this shitty encounter done. As you need some time to spawn him again you cannot just train the fight, which would be pointless anyway as you are depending on luck. I already thought about simply sellings all portals as soon as I would have to fight him but I don't think anyone would pay for this. Why would a carry player pay for portals if he can get payed and gets the loot in both cases? So the best thing now is just to consume all 6 portals without entering the arena at all, which is sad, but everything else is simply a waste of time.

I would really do some radical step here. There is no other way then calling this encounter a 100% failed thing. So if there is any chance even within the running league to give us any other chance to get the gems I would just remove the boss for now completely. This fight needs a totally reworked concept, I would be fine having some singly try encounter as long as the fight is not totally unfair. Maybe it would be a chance to try something like having 3 attempts (without the bullshit storms) and rebalance the phases. Make the first phase somehow challenging, somehow interesting, I mean wtf is this supposed to be? The maze and wall thing, well, these things are acceptable at the best, so up to phase 3 the fight is completely underwhelming. I would still remove the maze, I mean everyone knows what to do, you just cannot do anything if your path is blocked or the maze leads into a storm or the path finding just refuses to let you run out for some reason. If Sirus gets removed completely then of course noone can complete the challenge any more, well I thing most people are fine with that, maybe offer some replacement challenge or whatever, I think noone really cares.

The real problem is not this league: It offers a lot of very good stuff, the new minor bosses are fun to play and really well concepted, the metamorphs are also very interesting especially in the lab, such a single try encounter really spices things up. The new influences, the new atlas system, these are cool improvements to the game, not having to get specific maps any more to progress but having areas is a great idea. There could be of course some improvements like somehow having a progress when trying to spawn an boss. This league is honestly fine even if we just leave Sirus out and buy our awekening gems, it could be of course way, way better and motivating if our goal could be to spawn that guy and enjoy the fight. Just leaving this fight in the game as it is for upcoming leagues will ruin those. People will probably try the new machanics anyway but will also lose their passion very quickly when they realize that they saw all the new stuff and the atlas endgame is still for streamers/carries only. This would be really sad and unnecessary. Even if redesigning this fight would break the release cycle I would go for it, this needs to be fixed, maybe do some smaller league in between with a new Sirus and move the content of the upcoming league to the one after.
I always liked to play POE after DOTA 2 to come the nerves, now it is other way around.

- It is super annoying to spawn
- Colour scheme is terrible
- Boss-fight is non-existent, since it is all about getting past the storms
