Could you clarify if it actually helps after you're finished with upgrading? I've tried installing win10 in a VM Virtual Box and PoE was still 'leaking' like crazy. There are also many people with win10 claiming that they have the same problem. That's why I highly doubt that it will help.

I also am constantly CRASHING (Never happened to me before) after just 1-3 maps.

My Comp is ancient and I'm running all lowest settings, and my .ini is edited so that dynamic resolution is -1 and always on.

Windows 7, gtx 760@2gb, i5-4690, 8gig ram, on a HDD.

Before it was ugly but playable, I could make lvl 90+ in SSFHC every league.

Since this started happening I've had to switch to softcore SSF, and crashing every couple maps.

I mean I know the game isn't benefiting from it, but its basically a bitcoin miner for my computer so I'm not going to be like these other players and continuously try to play crash after crash, I'm just going to do something else.

For the sake of my pc, lol.

Too bad... Still no aknowledgement from GGG. I think there are only some secondary devs left lazing around, while the main team is jovially spending their Christmas holidays. They tried to fix it, but only made it worse.

That's why they're ignoring the issue right now in order to save some face and once Jonathan or someone who's currently responsible for the engine returns, they will probably make a surprised face "What MEMORY LEAK?! We fixed that! Eh?!".

The most hilarious thing is - many people still think that's a server related issue, they never check how much RAM is in use.

Let's try to keep this thread afloat, otherwise this thing will never get fixed.

It's a shame because people were expecting to spend some more time playing during the holidays and our disappointment is immense. It's like getting a bad Christmas present :(

Well they did say they're aware of it, they also listed it in their "to do" list. But so far all we got are empty words.

I couldn't bear another day without POE so in a moment of desperation i did the unthinkable: i upgraded to win10.

PSA - you can still upgrade for free if you're running a legit copy of win7 or win8 (just google "upgrade to windows 10 free" until you find the microsoft download page).

My memory leak is gone (and the entire game seems to run a lot smoother, FWIW).

So it's definitely either a directX 11 problem (win10 uses dx12) or a win7 problem.
