Game unplayable since patch 3.9.0e? for Win7 users (FPS issue) STILL A PROBLEM AFTER 3.9.1b :(
ATM unplayable (windows 10, fullscreen, windowed, .....)

game used to run 100% smooth until last week.
Now, when I play a map, FPS slowly degrades (from 60fps to 40-30fps). It is also easily fixed just by teleporting to hideout and back (and then, after 3 minutes of gameplay, it degrades again, and I need to TP to reset the bad performance). I noticed a lot of other players had this and it was told them that the problem was THEIR computer - well, if that was the case, why the game fix it when I zone? I looks like a logic/program problem. Any insights or are devs looking into this? And Yes: I´ve updated windows, drivers, checked ram physically, etc. |

" Dude, open you own thread. "last week" is no the release day of 3.9.1b patch but 3.9.2e. Also, if you want to claim it is a bug, you need to show your hardware names and models This is the start of forum signature: I am not a GGG employee. This is still a major issue. No matter what settings I use, min or max, I'll drop from 140 fps or even 60 if I cap it there, down to 7 (7 every single time) whether it is in my hideout or maps or delve. Running on RTX2060 6GB with 16 GB RAM and i5 9400F 6 core processor. CPU usage stays below 60%, no thermal or power throttling when it happens. This has happened for me on cobra lash, ice shot, and now on CoC cycloner all this league. I counted earlier and during a light map run, it spiked down 6 times in 10 seconds just while walking through an empty area.
Edit: Playing on Windows 10 - no updates available for OS or RTX. Didn't realize this was a Win 7 thread my bad Last edited by Holy_Preist#0425 on Feb 15, 2020, 9:19:07 PM

" Win 10. Potato CPU 4440 NVidiva 2060 HDD 8GB RAM I really don't have problem on average fps for normal condition (except the notorious Betrayal lag and now influence boss proc lag), or turning off entirely due to my old age power supply (say, minion build too many light and my power supply melted down, Sirus fight 4 beam phase GG) What i want to say if you claim it is a bug, then open your own thread cos highly likely it is separate problem other than Win 7 or "recent" patch. Quite a lot of player have no problem on Win10 and on modern card like RTX (just remember to turn off global illumination as it drain hardware way too much despite way too beautiful) This is the start of forum signature: I am not a GGG employee. Win 7 here as well and if I play for some hours PoE grows incredibly big. Like 6 to 7 GB in memory, whereas after relaunching it it stays at 2gb for a while.

This persisting issue sometimes makes the game unplayable after about two hours - typically will crash the game unless I restart the client. Any updates on possible resolutions or methods we can use on our computers? I have utilized all performance standards on my graphics card optimization, and although this helps it doesn't resolve the graphics/memory leak/fps issues. Similarly, when I load the game it will kick me off and the attempt after will result in slow loads with obvious graphic errors for the first ten minutes of game play. Gameplay between ten minutes and 2 hours of gameplay appears to be smooth however. Any thoughts on these oddities?

" you may not have noticed it, but the player you quoted (and me for example) have no trouble with betrayal not the game itself, it's just dumbly random, the player said even in hideout, when the game goes wrong in HO and on several players, it's clearly the game problem cause players will obviously go play something better, with the current specs we all have playing poe is wasting our pc's resources |

Please don't reply to very old thread for unrelated "bug".
This thread was suppose to discuss the memory leak (or whatever reason) was not yet fixed after 3.9.0e patch (or after some GGG reply 3.9.1b), specifically on win 7 platform . If you have any new performance problem please just go open a new thread to discuss it. But as redditter has dig out , the problem is the shitty sound problem that multiple sound to load would just lock the ggpk and creating lag What my previous reply was showing i have same what the same spec and i don;t have problem on POE except other issue, please don't add unrelated issue as "new evidence " for the bug that originally discuss in this thread This is the start of forum signature: I am not a GGG employee. so is there a fix for the new problem can someone link or assist me? I seem to have a POE gradually have increased memory the longer its open. Even just in hideout
