Please Remove 10% Exp Loss on Death

Didn't pay attention, went from 35% to 99 to 25%.
Thought "FUCK" but oh well, can happen.
Just moved on like before and ripped again in the same map.
Got annoyed and didn't give a fuck anymore... ripped again.

So lost 30%, many hours of progress lost in maybe 2 minutes :'D

That was entirely on me, 100% stupidity.
Still annoying, though :D

But the question remains: can we reach 50?

As long as the discussion remains polite, constructive and everybody respects others opinions, I don't see why not go even beyond.

Or GGG could just say fuck you, we will never remove it because reasons, and close the thread.

then i dont get why they just dont make a shittyfesto like they did for trade and explain "why"

Why bother? They have a trade manifesto and we get "GIEB AH ASAP" topics on a weekly basis at least. People don't give a shit about reasoning if the matter at hand is not to their liking.
People want a solution to their issues, not necessarily a specific one. The issue is, it's hard to pinpoint and express your issue, so people tend to push forward a suggestion that seems to solve it. Get to the heart of the issue and you can look for alternatives that fit both the issue and the game's needs.
Lower exp loss to 5% or remove it completely.
Another league, another episode of stunted progression after red maps. You don't get exp from lower tier maps, and you easily get instagibed in rare t15-16 maps. You can cheese the system by doing rotas/delve/easy maps, but that costs time and currency.

I'm actually burnt out from losing half an exp bar to an undying boss (Hexblast sucks btw. No damage). This time I'm only lvl 90 before being completely tired of it. It's stupid that the exp penalty is still in the game when there are ping issues, crashed instances, poor preformance, no warning for map mods you can't do... the list goes on.

My suggestion: Death penalty remains, but you can retrieve your exp from your corpse. There would still be the risk of losing that exp permanently due to the 6 portals. You could even lower the portal count to 5.
My man can afford a 6L Shavs but can't get past level 90. Damn.
One thing I'd really love to know that I'm sure GGG has stats about is how high the % of players that did NOT reach 100 with pure breachstones or beach heads or so is.
Bet it isn't very high
two key issues i see with 10% death penalty.

1. when the death is a result of something other than player error - for example, a bug, an internet glitch.

2. when a player is over half-way thru a level but still not close to levelling and an uber encounter becomes available that might potentially lead to 6 deaths, no progress.

for the non-uber player, getting to one of these encounters can be a major effort that takes a significant investment, and losing 60% of a level is an extreme cost simply to have a go.

one league delve was broken for me. i kept trying different things to work out why, but i kept on getting thrown from delve for some reason and most times i would also lose 10% to boot. i also had a similar issue with labs - known bug, lots of players were experiencing, 10% penalty every time even tho it wasn't player error.

i do get there are a group of players for which this is no issue. but there is more than one poe audience.

i hope when poe2 comes out, there is some recognition of this and that poe duplicates what other games have done, and have the poes cater to different audiences - one less hardcore than the other, one with a auction house, more accessible bosses etc.

i don't know how others make their purchase decisions, but i've mostly played subscription based games. if i think i've got enough value out of a league that I would have maintained a subscription, then i buy a supporter pack. if not, then i don't.

Endgame-level bosses shouldn't be utter cakewalks, though. There needs to be some challenge.

That said, your argument in re accessible bosses does have some merit. A few bosses it's difficult to see or react to what's going on whether because of the palette (Tsoagoth, Oversoul), a noisy screen (Merveil, the first couple phases of the Dominus encounter), or the game suddenly suffering from DID and thinking it's named "Pachi of Don" (Averius/Innocence, all Shavronne fights to an extent).

In re an auction house, the issue with that is that AHs are very manipulable and can allow for someone with means enough to corner a market. As an example, let's say someone is trying to corner the Tabula market. They put all the Tabulas they have on sale for, let's say, 12c*, and they have a very healthy stock of Chaos orbs. Anyone who puts their Tabula up for less gets it bought out from under them and then immediately put back on the market for 12c. Anyone who offers it for more than that? Well, they're going to be more expensive Tabulas, aren't they? So the entire market is essentially in the hands of the person who's got a closet full of Tabulas on offer for 12c.

*The average price of Tabulas in the first page of search results on the trade site, at the time I write this is ~8-9c.
