Lol yeah, ban players because your QA is shitty, and you release buggy messes each league.

No way they should punish players becuase their development work is consistently subpar.

Also this notion of "bank" is absurd. Like a few hundred exalts mean anything anyways, and the leagues get reset every few months.

This is a non-issue. Players should not be punished for embarrassing GGG oversights.

It was *so obviously* an exploit. Way more obviously than the original delve fossil farming. About as obviously as the hideout item duplication exploit.

Yes, people should be banned for blatantly exploiting things. That's fucking obvious. Yes, it's GGG's fault that an exploit is possible, but it's not GGG's fault that someone chooses to exploit it multiple times, it's their own.

Or what, in future murder cases, are you going to say it's the victim's fault for being alive?

Lol wut?

Its 100% on GGG to fix bugs, close loop holes, and respond to exploits when they are discovered by the community. Banning players becuase you failed in development is embarrassing and blaming the wrong person.

Now if this involves a cheat program, code manipulation, server manipulation / interruption, causes monetary harm (ggg points for example), or fraud/account stealing or abuse, I'm with you.

Creating a dupe, becuase you didnt review your systems is NOT the players fault.

GGG handled this properly imo.

Spoiler
since GGG is quite sensitive, I was explaining, in a very subtle fashion, that there are a few murder exploits around. But its outside the CoC to bring them up.

So it's your argument that the hideout currency duplication exploit was handled incorrectly? Because people got banned for that one.

I literally can't imagine making the argument you're making without being a fucking cheater who just wants to dodge a ban.

At least they're not banning people over abusing the glitch.

I suppose if you sold glitched items for a fortune in mirrors knowing full well these would be edited out of the game soon, you should catch a ban.

But punishing players for discovering a bug in your code (and doing what people will do in a token economy with artificial scarcity constraints) thankfully hasn't been considered.

I've said multiple times, they should be banning people (a) who made bank off the exploit, and (b) who used the exploit multiple times.

If you used the exploit once and kept the result for posterity, that's arguably just science (for reference, I used it zero times). Anything more deserves a fucking ban, and I'm appalled that they seem to be banning absolutely no one.

They clearly have no issue with PoE being considered Pay to Win, since this is the first true pay to win exploit and they aren't issuing bans.

The player is always the victim unless they are scamming / doing something illegal (ddos).

If Im not mistaken with that situation, it was a result of server manipulation and instance abuse.

So yes, that was valid imo.

As far as me being a "fucking cheater" its laughable as well as irrelevant, because its GGG that determines it.

If they didnt ban players for the oil "exploit" that's their call based on nature of the exploit (and deleting items)

I saw some of them at 6mirror priced, cus getting an extra curse "for example" is a big bonus.

I think at least they should remove those "bug items".
A temporary ban at those who make profit of exploit abussing, is not that bad.

But never keep thos bug exploited items as legacy. It was never an obtainable item for no one but exploit abusers.

Standard is supposed to have bugged items, it's the games toilet, where all the leagues turds and filth gets flushed down into.

in every games bugs and exploits exit. in every game players exist, that search for exploits. and in every game they get banned! the normal way would be find exploit / bug ,report it to support. not find exploit use it to make money and keep it to yourself. so yeah ban them 4 life.
