So, GGG, about the Skin Transfer MTX Anointment Bug
They wont punish anyone for an oversight they made.
Obviously they want to contain the issue until a fix is in place, along with a response. That's why they are trying to control the spread of the issue monitoring posts. I suppose this is one advantage of a 3 month league. There isnt lasting damage to the economy really. That being said, this league sucks, and I find it amusingly fitting that a league mechanic reward had destroyed any remaining credibility for the rest of the league. Your are being more honest than most players will be. You are aware of the bug, but decided to still buy knowing the risk that it might get removed and you already mentioned you would accept it. I can only agree with you here :)

" exactly, i wuld accept it, but i wuld not accept it if other people have it and i dont have acces to it, thats why im saying its so unfair because not everyone can afford it, so either remove or make acces to everyone | |
" I disagree with you here. This is technical an exploit, an unintended program behaviour. If you use this by accident, I agree with you, there should be no punishment. But if you know this is (most likely) an exploit and still use it, proably multiple times, then you abused this mistake and therefore deserve to be punished. Another good example is the instance problem with wow classic some days ago. There was a exploit that allowed you kill the weekly bosses (and even skip alot of trahs mobs) again and again and again. If this happends once and you don't know why it happend, but you take an additional boss run, it's not exactly fair but it's okay. But if you use this exploit in order to run a raid that's supposed to be weekly 50 times within a week, that's a very different story. For me, delete the anointments on all items that shouldn't have them (this shouldn't be that hard db wise, since we've got a very limited set of itemtypes/baseitems items that are allowed to be anointed) and if able, punish the people where you can proof that they have used this multiple times. And of course, fix the bug in the first place. You say Prison Cell, I hear 'Holiday'.

juicy drama ; hope punishments are administered :)

Doubt they care anymore, at most some items will be deleted.
If really nothing will be done(and i expect nothing will) then ggg is sending a clear message about what they think of cheating in this game. [Removed by Support]
Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” |

They have to be somewhat consistent about this, at the very least undo all those bugged anointments.

" The people who profited multiple mirrors off of crafting such items shouldn't have those mirrors. GGG has historically treated these flagrant cheaters harshly. It's very obvious that using a skin transfer for profit is not above-board. I'm hoping for a ban of anyone who used this trick more than once. I didn't use it even once, for the record, but it's probably pretty hard to sort through the people who used it exactly once and then sold the result, vs the people who used it once to genuinely just test it for themselves and then never sold the result. I don't think the latter group should be banned, for sure. People who used it more than once obviously are cheating intentionally. " You have shags pegged wrong. He's not a cheater, he's very much an SSF elitist with the genuine opinion of "if you cheat, you're only cheating yourself, not anyone else". He refuses to acknowledge the entire concept of an in-game economy that should be regulated like the real economy. Last edited by codetaku#0468 on Oct 4, 2019, 12:25:32 PM
