SSF > Trade Leagues

Next up: “Autoattack is better than other skills because it isn’t augmented by mechanics and damage multipliers of skills.”

That might be too long a thread name :)
Thanks for all the fish!
SSF as a concept is fine, of course the way some people perceive it is totally wrong.
It's a bit different, but not so much, it's still the same game, you just progress slower.
But on the other had I liked it, because instead of hoarding currency to exchange it to chaoses, i try to collect/craft/etc. my own gear.
But when you add hc element to the ssf, it's a different story, You feel alone in that wretched world and everything is trying to kill you.
+1 It makes you actually experience the game. Instead of grinding out safe content to buy OP gear to blow up the rest of the content. Never actually progressing your character, which is the entire point of the game.
Need a new signature, cuz name change. I dunno though. I guess this seems fine. Yeah, this is good.

using this "logic"

HC SSF > HC > Rest of the game.

Nah. HC is for people bored with the game who don't mind re-rolling after unpreventable (or preventable!) RIPs.

(You can still trade for a billion Headhunters and perfect gear in HC. You just have to grind out the currency.

But if even a Mirror of Kalandra were to fall in SSF? Pff, so what?)

HC is for masochism.
SSF is for excellence.

HC SSF is for masochistic excellence, which -- in my point of view -- can be viewed as simply either one, masochism or excellence. In my eyes, it's just masochism.

I wonder at which point during the thought process preceding the creation of threads such as these the brain goes, 'yeah, this is a good idea. This totally isn't just cause disagreements and arguments. I GOT THIS.'

As I was typing, I knew: "This thread will be filled with good discussion; surely it will spawn well considered, reasoned debate."

And as I pressed "Submit" triumphantly, I knew... I knew I had crafted a jewel-like Thread -- one that would be filled with sentiments from SSFers benevolently lifting up the Trade Corps masses for their inferiority.

as long as it's easy to move items from ssf to normal leagues it's not really a hard choice.

just scale that issue up: would you play ssf if you knew a mirror dropped on day 2 and you couldn't transfer it to your current league?
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

Not sure where you are getting this. It's actually quite the opposite. Most casuals are sitting in regular legion trade league.

What makes you come to this weird conclusion that SSFers are somehow more casual than traders lol?

That IS the goal, though - and the core of the thought process. It's like an "Android versus iOS" discussion. "Sparkled water with lime versus sparkled water with lemon".

"I am drinking sparkled water with lime, therefore I'm superior to you. Now, show me dumb arguments why I'm wrong".
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

Apparently :(

I love mixing it up. I usually decide on what to play after seeing the league mechanic. I usually never play ssf two leagues in a row and a few times I start out with hc and swap to sc if I die too much to disconnects/bugs.
