Steelskin and the Guard Skills
" Yes. They all are. But they share a cooldown, so it probably doesn't help to use more than one. Pick your favorite based on your build.
" Huh. Never noticed that one before. That would not help much in my situation given that each skill has a slightly different situational use but it's good to be aware of... Awakened Combustion Support when?

" You said that while half of the builds in this game are determined by AI lolz.. Etc) suree, we have minions / totems / Brand/ Worb/ most of the aoe/ chain which couldn't even control what to kill and what not to kill. Gotta use some logic to stop them from killing whole pack amirite? Also we have half of the kill that hit the whole screen after some scaling, better add a concentration effect in case we hit too many mobs amirite? I'm not sure who here really has common sense when you look at the whole design of POE . I bet you're one of those who think Vorici mission was fine back then cuz "gotta play smart with logic" (Translation: bring a trash skill just for stupid situation like this) |
|
"Common sense is a term used by stupid people that think they're smart/intelligent .. there's nothing common about the information |

Haha, yes! I'm so excited to see all the vitriol and angst coming from this change. Some of you have never died 1000+ times on your way to level 90 as a flicker striker and it shows.
Path of Exile is a game of choices and chance. It is and will always be one of my favourite games ever for the absolutely absurd number of ways that it can be played, build wise. You have a near limitless quantity of choices on how to equip and customize your characters, with varying degrees of success. And that's where this change comes in. Immortal call was a bottle neck of uncreative and uninteresting gameplay. Yes, porcupines popping out and ending your uber lab run in a heartbeat sucks, but that's life! Your characters can not and should not be the ender or all life and invincible in all situations. Pick yourself up and try again! There should never be a skill so widely applicable and universally used as immortal call in a game as diverse as PoE. If there's a single skill that has the same effectiveness on a tanky jugg, a quick assassin, a ranged archer, a spindly witch, and a crazy totem zealot, of course it's going to be changed! To hardcore players, yes, I completely understand that it is utterly and completely outside your control if sixteen different attacks suddenly land from the RNG of the gaming Gods, but that just makes the ones who survive that much more praiseworthy. Do you play hardcore because this game is fair and reasonable, with easy equations that guarantee success, or do you play hardcore because this game can be a Cruel, mistress of fickle tricks and sudden pitfalls that requires knowledge, caution, skill, and more than a little luck to navigate without dying? For casuals, we die guys. It's as simple as that. We die all the time, but who actually cares, so long as you progress and have some fun? A 'screw your damage!' button is going to be fun to tinker with, die and try again! A 'casual' who doesn't ascribe to the meta slave mentality of immortal call, or who just doesn't know that trick won't even notice that strategy is gone, honestly. For the elitist, 40 challenge, super Gods that have put in the carpel tunnel inducing hours to get as far as you have, I applaud your dedication to the game, and I am truly in awe of your attention span. Seriously. But lay off the negativity for one second, and think about the alternatives. Would you rather GGG simply left the game exactly the same every league? That they just sprinkle in some extra mobs to obliterate here and there without changing something important about the game? Do you really want to just use the same build to get the same 40 challenges every three+ months, without any modifications or improvements? Or hey, would you rather the developers try to make the game easier, so that even casuals like me can get all 40 challenges and make it to 3000+ delve? So that getting that far and putting in that much time, effort and planning is useless because anyone with a couple hours a week and a full plate of nachos can do it too? The immortal call change isn't perfect, of course not, because the game isn't always fair and immortal call helped level the RNG field. Taking that away is very simply making the game more dangerous. To me, and apparently to GGG, that's fine! The end game should be dangerous. Your perfectly built character that can clear t16 maps in 10 seconds should have weaknesses, or should still die to pure dumb chance every so often. That's what makes hard core HARD. If this change makes the game unplayable for you, that's really too bad, but I think we'll all be better for it, as it will increase build diversity, which I think has always been GGGs main intent with changes like this. _____ As a slightly hypocritical side note, I would like at least one extra skill hot key, if only because my left click is almost always movement so that I'm not accidentally animation locked by clicking a barrel while I try to Dodge. I understand it's a choice limiting thing, but with all the new things that have come out, brands, mitigation skills, changes to vaal skills, and flags, I think at least one more skill slot would be amazing.
"its still a farming simulator you Pepega. there's no point to get better gear or do maps. I just do the leagues because of Lore and nothing else better to play and league has a trash community and rigged system . There's no world/server boss to fight, group activities, etc |

I'm LAUGHING !!!!
People are losing their shit over the huge IC nerf. Most builds (including mine) used the CWDT set-up and now it sounds like the party's over. Well, let's roll with the punches and go from there - no point pissing and moaning. the funniest part is that the patch notes aren't yet out so we don't know what positive changes the dev's have planned for us & I can't say it's all good or bad until I see those patch notes. I suggest everyone just chill the fuck out until tuesday. after we see all the actual changes there will be lots of time to cheer, moan, squeal, cry, bitch, etc......and actually, we won't know for sure until we've played the new league for a while and see how it all translates into character fun & survivability. I'm still excited and still positive !!!
Has GGG ever stated their stance on potentially removing the exp penalty upon death?
I'd be perfectly fine with dying in less than half a second from offscreen or invisible enemies if there was no consequence of losing hours of progress! :^) |
|
" totally in solidarity
Massive boost to the red part of the skilltree, massive boost to melee and most likely massive boost to gladiator!!
Seems like a very well needed overhaul of the IC-cwdt-meta thats been goin on for ages!! love it!! |
