What ARPG wasn't, in the end, about killing stuff and getting loot? Idk why people keep trying to turn ARPGs into some complex gameplay, cause it's not. You pick your favorite flavor of particle effect and murder shit with it, that's it. Telling me to not kill enemies fast is just as stupid as Voricis missions were, it's an ARPG, you kill shit, that's it. It's not complex in it's goal. Kill shit, get loot. Diablo was no different, kill shit as fast as possible, get loot.

Also to me, murdering things at an unrelenting pace IS my reward. I enjoy watching screens of gaggling fodder die in waves of gore neath my build. That's what ARPGs have always been about to me, finding new ways to kill shit quicker. Building a character that never dies but takes ages to do anything sounds awful in ANY type of game.

This will also make the top tank builds more rewarding to play as well, nice.

As for Jugg , it's because they can reach very high number of Endurance Charge on top of easily generated endurance charge on top of Fortify. They also have excellent physical mitigation too.

Both of them also benefit insanely from on hit es heal thanks to Molten Strike being broken in terms of hit count = insane self heal.

Big ES pool alone is not nearly enough. Not even close.
Don't get me started CI has insane advantage in delve because it completely immune to zombie's poison ground.
The fact that you even mention Jugg suffers from Zombie poison ground shows that you don't understand why those 2 classes are so good in Delve.
(Hint: they don't even take that damage cuz they're chaos immune already)


As the all time leader on the delve leaderboards, I think I know a thing or two about delves. ES Jugg's are not even feasible in the absolute highest competitive aspects of delve.

I have taken cyclone trickster without immortal call to delve 1,750 (which is 8 times the damage and life of your highest clear). It takes some creative imagination for sure but it is doable as long as your ES pool is high enough.

If delve is made in a way that only 2~3 ascendancies can prevail, it's a bad game design. Where's this reactive gameplay with telegraphic and chance to dodge? It doesn't exist.

EVERY single classes can beat Uber Elder.
Not every classes has the chance to ever see Delve 1000+. (If there's to happen to have 1~2 miraculous outliers , it doesn't really count man. )

Aren't they always the most rewarding since deep delve is big profit so I heard? (If you can reach 1300+ that is, which ONLY those classes can do)

Hint: Maybe you can check POE ninja Delve solo leaderboard to see what classes are on them all. Maybe all the tankiest classes in the world with 20k es? Maybe a Jugg? Maybe an Occultist? Maybe?

RIP immortal call. TLDR: More flask piano style survivability micro managing, worse one shots.

GGG tone deaf as ever... So now the immortal call doesn't actually prevent oneshots. The only time anyone used molten shell was for attack.

Why? Because it just amounted to a few invisible temporary extra EHP points at the cost of a gem slot. In other words now all three are useless.

Far wiser to spend the gem slot on more DPS or some other better defense.

If this junk ever got popular they'd just make it another required chore for reaching the level of damage soak checked by unavoidable screen hit boss attacks. Another layer of required flask piano and trade gear thresholds.

Early acts I don't have access to triggerable anything anyway so it's just more flask piano.

As usual it's newb bait. Streamer trader whales will either kill the entire screen/boss in a nano second or have 40k EHP with 75% mitigation.

And then GGG will attempt to balance around them and end up screwing us even more lather rinse repeat.
