Banned for using Trade-Macro
" Well, I've emailed support to ask for some clarity, but will follow their policy of not discussing my interactions with them publicly any further. Thanks for the guidance! We're all in this leaky boat together, people.

Robmafia, i guess i know how do you get all your bans, cause it is very fat trolling. Or you just not wise enough to understand what we talking about. No offence.
And for those, who dont understand: i m not against premium stash tab. I m totally fine with that. I just wanna say: the game doesnt have good functional for trading. Look at WoW for exampls: you can put your items on auction. You dont need to Alt+Tab, then find something in your browser. If you dont understand: searching 3 millions pages of forum is not hardcore, it is just makes your life harder with no good reason to do that. To argue with a fool means to sink to his level.

...you're literally complaining about using a browser you're using to complain.

" Talk about bright! You know the biggest preachers of intelligence are mostly the exact opposites of what they claim to be simply because they're too dense to be able to critically compare themselves with everyone else. Just a thought for you (: By the way Trade-Macro has been officially allowed in the game since forever. Uploaded an awesome Exsanguinate Freeze Explosion build on the forums - https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3508506

" If GGG have done their job properly, then why are people installing third party macros in the first place? The simple answer is they haven't; the abortion of a trading system we have now is a product of decade-old developer philosophy and nothing else. There is no logical reason why we don't have an auction house for bulk items like maps, currency, frags, etc. Every game with trading that I can think of has an easy-to-use auction house. Fucking Everquest II had an auction house! Rather than banning people for using trade macros, GGG should instead ask themselves "why ARE people using trade macros?" and solve that. I know some of you forum-frequenters are foaming at the mouth right now, desperate to copy-paste Chris Wilson's 200 IQ rationalization: "Trading needs to be annoying to keep it balanced." Believe it or not, the answer is not to deliberately piss off players, but to make trading non-essential. If you have people installing third-party macros just to trade in a trade-focused game, something with the GAME is profoundly and embarrassingly fucked. And no, I don't use a third-party trading macro, but I'm certainly defending its use. Much like flask macros, you can only force players to eat shit for so long before they find an alternative food source. | |
" fun fact: cheaters cheat. macros, bots, maphacks... it's ludicrous to blame ggg for people cheating. [Removed by Support]

Why are these threads always about a "friend?"
Just admit you were banned. Highest Character: Level 92 86% Block/Static Strike Champion - Abyss League
I get bored of the grind around 90, probably won't ever get a higher character. |

"This is an absurdly dense viewpoint. Dense as in stupid, not dense as in full of nuance. From a purely literal perspective, yes, cheaters cheat. From the perspective of someone capable of applying logic to a set of data, when _so many_ people decide to "cheat" to avoid a specific aspect of your software, it would be unbelievably stupid to say "oh well, they are all just cheaters anyway" and not consider the driving motive behind that behavior. There is a very high chance that if a much larger than average number of players are using macros to avoid a specific part of a given system in your game, it's because that system is not enjoyable to use without modification. Most people don't cheat most of the time, so if they are cheating in your game to avoid a specific part of it it would be stupid beyond belief not to ask yourself why. People's actions are their own responsibility, but that doesn't mean that they aren't motivated by externally controlled factors. GGG is atleast partially aware of this fact, which is why they have previously elucidated us as to the extent to which they accept macro usage. If this elucidation becomes unclear or starts misaligning with who they ban and why, that would be a problem on their part. Last edited by Pathological on Apr 14, 2019, 10:53:30 PM
