Meanwhile you are allowed to use 3rd party software to instantly log out with custom keybinds.
Meanwhile you are allowed to use a single button to grab an items stats, use those stats for finding trade listings and displaying them ingame as an overlay.
Meanwhile you are allowed to use 3rd party software that
reads POE's logfiles (lol?) to determine your position in the labyrinth and thus making a routed ingame adaptive map over the labyrinth possible.
Needless to say, the TOS is ridiculous and the "popsicle macro" is proof of that.
None of those you mention break the rules... although the jury is still out on the lab map one.
I'm actually really confused about the lab map one.
It's really easy to just navigate through the labyrinth yourself. Do the log files include information about what direction to go for which exit? Because frankly it feels like it'd be easier to just display an overlay window with the poelab.com map in the top-left corner or something while running lab (and keeping track of which room you're in yourself) but if there's some kind of maphack-like effect you can gain by parsing logs then that sounds waaaaay more problematic.
Yes the lab is easy but the main appeal here is for those with less experience. You will automatically have your current room shown as well as where you are supposed to be headed (and why).
It's also more convenient than a static map because you can plan your own very specific route ahead while the software keeps track of it for you repeatedly afterwards. Did I mention that it also has a puzzle solver?
Btw, we also have Global820 which automatically polls the logfiles at regular intervals while searching for specific chat keywords and notifies you when those are spoken. It uses
zero serverside actions and is thus allowed. While I only see such programs as "soft automation" I think that the TOS is utterly absurd. Especially when you take in the "popsicle macro" and disabled people into the discussion.
