update, its not because of my gloves

I too was concerned at one point that my curse on hit curse did not get applied. Eventually I settled on that the Build kills trash too quickly for me to notice and I was too distracted against the tougher stuff to notice - but that's just me.

What I did do was try a couple of tests ( in lower level areas).
I swapped out my curse on hit curse for one where the indicator was more noticeable.
And even better (and cheaper), I turned off my Blasphemy aura so that there would be no visual competition.
I also switched up my curses, but that really didn't reveal much to me.

I suggest the tests just in case they might help you narrow down the root of your problem.

all solved now, just had to tinker a few things :))

Great job figuring it out trial and error style. I'm glad it's working for you.

Hey! I'm glad you saw the Vortex build. I wanted to PM you when I made it since you showed excitement for it but the system doesn't seem to let me PM with console accounts (that's why I'm replying here, sorry). I guess they still have some things to figure out with consoles on the website.

I'm glad you're enjoying the zombie build and have found a way to really make it your own.

I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to be so complimentative. It's very kind of you. Thank you very much! :-)

Hey, so, I'm still using this build. Loving it. But there are a few times where I feel like I'm just dying too quickly. Most notably while fighting Izaro in the 3rd Labrynth. (I'm level 79 and the labrynth is 68?)

I just recently revamped my gear because I was feeling like I was dying ALL the time, and this new gear has helped quite a bit... but I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations to swap in.

My Attributes are currently 356 Int, 137 Str, and 98 Dex.

Here is my current loadout:
(BY THE WAY @Wrecker, This Invictus Solaris is God Tier with this build when you socket the TC, Blasphemy, and Enhance... Using a Lvl 3 Enhance, and having it act as a level 5?? TC has +32%qual instead of +16! Was able to unslot the Skittering Runes passive as well, as it overkilled the effect, and without SR it puts me at 75.6% slow effect which is just over the max. And it frees up a passive slot! and the fire resist from the shield is nice too)

The Previous set of Gear I Had which got me through the campaign and the first 2 map tiers or so before it started feeling inadequate was:

I also Experimented with both of these items before settling on my current build, and they both felt decent? But not as good as what I stuck with.

Any tips or suggestions??

I just got beaten by an essence monster:

Spoiler

My skeletons were barely doing any damage to him even though they were lv 19+2, even my Vaal Skeletons did nothing. I did get him down to ~55% life once, but he has ES and also healed to full life after he killed me.
I guess the combination of Soul Eater, Reduced damage taken and the Endurance charges made him nearly invincible? If Soul Eater works on my dead skeletons then no wonder.
He had some more mods, but I didn't get a picture of them.
Is it time for an upgrade, or did I just get a terrible combination of mods?

seanmcg182, how much life do you have? Only your shield and gloves give life, that might be part of the problem.

Are you running an ES version of the Build? I ask because you have very little Life on your gear and I cannot see your Passive Choices (that would require a privacy change on your part).

If you not running an ES build, then you need Life; badly I would guess. And you are probably using too many uniques to get that Life. I like the shield (I use a variant) and the gloves (what I use).

If you are running ES, I suspect you need more ES (but I'm not up on ES builds).

But any helpful advice would depend on whether or not you have intentionally gone for such low Life.

I currently have 2253 Life and 1536 ES. (and 982 mana, but thats irrelevant here)
I don't know what a good Life amount is, as this is my first and only character, and also my first and only build.

I kinda just assumed that more uniques = better? :P

With POE, you will need to be judicious in your selection of Uniques (many are truly just "unique" as opposed to "awesome").

This Build actually works quite well with no uniques. The calibre of your rares typically determines how many uniques you can fit in.

My suggestion is that you shed some uniques and replace them with rares that have generous helpings of Life, and resists - and cover off your attribute needs. What uniques that you keep is a personal thing, but I will give you my opinion as an example.

Keep your shield and gloves.
You may want to keep your weapon around while you transition - it has lots of attributes and resists that will smooth things over. The Le Heup
ring also helps with this but lacks Life (in a "can get Life" slot) and so its fate is your choice. Hold on to your old weapon as it would be a decent replacement once you get your other gear reworked.

I think your best bang for the buck will be to replace your Chest Armour and Helm with rares that have high life and some resists, and very helpfully, an open prefix slot so that you can craft on +1 to number of Zombies and Skeletons. If that is all "blah blah blah" to you, perhaps someone who plays on PC (assuming that you play on PC) can let you know how to check it out on PC. Regarding the Helm, a Bone Helmut, or one with +2 to Minion Gems is what you want in the end. The chest could be tricky unless you have a way to 5 link it yourself.

In my opinion, the Belt and the other ring could be greatly improved by rares with life and resists (and some DEX and/or STR). A Stygian Vise would be my first choice, but a Life Belt or STR belt works well too.

Your amulet is doing stuff for you and so you can decide if something with Life and resists might help more. A Citrine amulet with its implicit DEX and STR works well if you switch.

If you like what your boots do for you, keep them. There is probably no immediate need to touch them, but there might be stuff out there that you will like even better. If you need DEX but can spare the resists, just pop on your old boots.

You chose a great Build to stick your toes in the POE pond. Regarding Life, I feel somewhat "naked" until I get past 5K and I'm never content with how much Life I have. That definitely influences my choice of gear.

As always, good luck.
