Skill Reveals - Soulrend and Bane

These skills look amazing visually, however I'm not sure how damage over time will fair in the current '1-shot packs and move to the next one' meta. Bane at least could see some play as a support skill for applying curses. Should be interesting.

Trap, Multi Trap, Bane, Despair
Trap, Multi Trap, Contagion, IncAOE

Flip back and forth to melt packs. Switch to self-cast for bosses (particularly the Bane/Despair/Chains/Enfeeble four link) Even though bosses are considerably less affected by curses, the damage per curse will be decent.

Then just lob in one essence drain while the traps come off cooldown.

Fixed a bug where players believed the game was playable. This has been corrected and made retroactive.

Fixed a bug where players adapted to 3.15. This bug cannot be corrected, so we have implemented a 90% reduction in item access as a punishment.
Honestly I just wish that ALL chaos spells had built in Abyssal Cry effects.

That way you can design the gem for Self Cast around this bonus then when you socket the gem into a trap/mine/totem they loose this benefit.

Finally it allows the player to not have to worry about on DEATH effects after they have killed packs.

Any build that does not shatter or explode corpses has to DEAL with the shitty system that is on death effects they get worse the faster you clear.

so essence drain gains the aoe tag and the dot benefits from concentrated effect? i accept this
2 questions
does "increased effect of your curses" apply to bane damage

and do increases to projectile damage affect soulrend
it is a projectile itself and scales with projectile modifiers like gmp and speed but dots traditionaly dont scale with projectile or area damage, caustic arrow being a notable exception)

no. the wording applies to "curse skills", which Bane is, but bane is not a curse.
new Contagion + Essence Drain combo MTX?
