Skill Reveals - Soulrend and Bane

How exactly will Bane work mechanically speaking?

What I had in mind was putting a Bane setup in a staff with the "trigger a socketed spell when you use a skill" craft, in order for it to autocast while I use Soulrend.

I'm not sure whether or not it would only cast Bane though. Are the linked curses tagged with "you can't cast socketed curses directly", like in a cwdt setup?

If that wasn't the case, the craft would cicle through bane and the individual curses, which would obviously be trash.

Welp, looks like I'm finally gonna try Death's Oath this league and abuse Bane and Malovelence. Maybe it's time to 'incite' some 'chaos?'

The new skills sound good too. The only place I really see chaos lagging now is in the resistance penetration. I know there are a few ways but something like a support gem and a node or two on the tree would be nice instead of limiting it to a curse and an ascendancy.

All very good points here. It's a shame really, that it feels bad having to do so much setup with other skills to make something work, compared to just firing one spell and moving on. But I guess it just can't be helped, that's the meta.

what is the point of casting a cuese, then casting a very slow projectile that aplies dot then wait for mobs to die if u can just shoot one arrow or cast one brand and go? unless this bane stuff is automatic like herald this will be AT BEST half clear speed of meta so noone will touch it outside of meme builds.

When using a soul rend, if all projectiles are not aimed at a solo target = boss, then the skill is useless, like a power siphon

Soulrend is 100% my first skill to play with this league <3

these skills looks like reworked versions of essence drain and contagion kinda disappointing i agree 100% that game needs more chaos skills but cmon they look pretty much the same as essence and conta we need something new.. its the same food on new plate

i still wonder that if you have long duration and strike same target with multiple soul rends... will their damage stack... or will it be like with toxic rain and the damage areas stack? meaning every target can have aoe dot on them and if they overlap...
