Update about Path of Exile on PlayStation 4

GGG you will really have to do better if you wish us PS4 players take you seriously, more than saying "We are hard at work" over and over or "Comming soon and soon, in couple of weeks than mid-march" but the release never happens. I have Vacation in one week and had really big plans to enjoy PoE over it, but since mid-march is considering everything out of the picture apparently, I better start planning something else.

And I don't understand why more people won't learn from Fortnite. You release the game as Early Access, certification process is slashed in half if not more, and is easier with pushing patches and dlcs too. No matter that Fortnite atm is done game and should be no longer in Early Access...it still is because this helps publishers imensly and no reason to change it.

But from speculating and info I have read, Sony certifitation is not the main problem at the moment, GGG is from some reason and wont admit it.

I'm done waiting rather wait for mk11 and the time I'm done playing mk11 Chaosbane should be out. The hype is over for me this is now just frustrating with all the delays.

Was very excited of the PS4 release annoncement.. Now I will just let it go and see when it actually happens.

Probably, next season. I dont think they will release it mid of season. Only if they do is for test and bug fixes till next season. This means mid of current season or close to end of it. So, have fun till next season ^^

They did try to release Betrayal on the PS4 mid season. They tried again with a few weeks left.

Hello everyone,

For a long time I had doubts wheter to make a post here on how I feel about it, just to raise my voice, even though it wont make much difference.

Let me start by saying that when PoE came out, I loved it.. due to circumstances I had to stop playing and over time, I was leaning more and more towards console rather then pc.

When this game first came out, I was really excited, finally a dungeon crawler with deep specializations that combined a little bit of final fantasy 7 materia system. I absolutely loved the idea of making sockets, putting in gems that interacted with each other and create a build that is unique.

At that time I was kinda disappointed this was a pc only game and when it came out on the xbox well.. I cant describe the feeling but still, I respected GGG's choice.

Then when I saw the PS4 trailer, I got really excited again, told my best friends about this game and was really looking forward so bad that at the first announcement I managed to convince my employer to give me a few days off somewhere in december.

When they delayed it the first time I had no problems with it. After all I knew how good this game was and that it was worth waiting for, patience is a virtue right?

That feeling grew less at the second delay but was still acceptable for me, its a free game after all and they have no commitment like publishers who put their game up for money and pre-orders, but still.. their is some kind of commitment I guess..

I fully realize its not mid march yet, for all we know they might skip the announcement and release it mid march, making this post invalid, I will take that risc and assume a 3rd delay is official and they will not release it mid march.

For me, at this point its safe to make a statement. I am truely disappointed in whats going on, have read all the rumors about who is responsible for this and I am convinced its on GGG's side.

I will still play this game when it comes out day 1, not gonna lie there but I hope maybe they will shed some light on what is really going on behind the screens and take their responsibility on this matter. A simple apology just wont do it for me, and I realize they dont owe me anything, I do feel they owe the ps4 players something though, I'm not looking for any compensation rewards but a little bit of truth and recognition from their side.

My apologies for being a little dramatic about this but I couldnt resist not sharing my feelings about this any longer.

Im still looking forward towards this game very much and checking their twitter on a daily basis. :-)

Waiting for the PS4 PoE myself (after playing it years ago on PC) I absolutely agree what you say/ write.

IMHO and from a marketing perspective GGG is making a mistake right now. It's nothing wrong in statements like "it's done when it's done" and even a 3rd and 4th delay - when communicated in time - won't bring the heavens to fall down.

But saying nothing like GGG is doing right now did hurt other and bigger companies b4...

why does playstation say ur game is out now is that wrong did they make a mistake?

And you are right, it is about communicating on time.

I feel that the disappointment that would be created by announcing a 3rd delay on time, would weigh less then the emotions it brings up in a lot of players right now by leaving players blind / swimming in the deep.

This is maybe a weird and extreme comparison/example I want to give, forgive me for doing so.

When a person goes missing, family, friends, colleagues, sometimes, even after years, we desire an answer so bad to what has truely happened, for closure, instead leaving them in the blank can be more devastating then finding out this person has deceased (sorry again for making such a weird comparison).
Or, for the people who have experienced online dating where the other person would not respond anymore, it can be hard to deal with when getting ignored instead of having an answer like for example 'Sorry but I am not interested' (even though no response can be an obvious hint of course), this takes a little bit of guts, but then at least people can deal with it hopefully better then not having an answer at all.

These are just 2 examples, sometimes we unawarely associate these things with (similar) things that has happened in our past / lifes, we relate to them.. I'm not saying this goes for everyone, impossible for me to know that, but I am talking out of my own experience.

I will stop now with the long messages, keep an eye on these boards and read everyones response on this topic. Perhaps that also feels a little soothing in the meanwhile to see that we are not alone and how other players experience this matter, and how they deal with it.

Not to quote GGG but from me to every fellow player out there, hang in there guys cause I know its gonna be worth the wait.
