Update about Path of Exile on PlayStation 4

I hope we get access to the dope supporter packs. The empyrean one is too good.
Time is running out.

If they announce a release date today, March 12th, then the game will arrive in 2 weeks on the 26th. If they don't announce a release date today, they have literally 5 more days left to do it before the game officially can not release at all within March.

Once that happens, they'll have to formally announce a delay to April. However I think the majority of the PS4 community's patience is pretty much run-out at this point, so confirmation the game *won't* be coming in March, or even no more news until March itself just runs out with no game in sight, will probably just cause everyone to give-up at that point, the game will become vaporware, GGG's reputation will be in ruins and the majority will be so engrossed in their usual cycle of triple-A game releases they don't notice when it *does* come out.
Hey,guys and the GGG group, let me tell you something that you will never belive:
I bought Xbox one S only because that the POE is available on it! I throw 50 dollars in that game which is barely playable.
Yes, if looking at my account, you may think this is just a noob player. But I have played more than 2000 hours in PC around year 2013 and 2014. And I got tenosynovitis in some level because of clicking too much. Since then, I mainly play console games instead.

Hi, Mike from the GGG support, I still saved your mail about unbanning me in 2013, an innocent Chinese guy using the wrong VPN.

There are games of the years and also the game of the lives. And till this day after so many game experiences, I can still say that, POE is the game of my life. And I seriously doubt if there will be POE 2 or something else.

What do you expect next, my dudes? A gamer's raging shout?
Nah!

I guess there are around 3~4 people working for Xbox POE. A number more than that will be nuts. Only some thousands of players do not need a huge maintenance group. GGG is not doing charity. I don't sense the eager to make the game great in consoles. But it is totally understandable and acceptable for a hardcore game like this.
Likewise, there should be almost the same number in the PS4 group. But the development is way more complicated. There is no way the game will come out perfect immediately. If delaying means a less frequent jump-outs, so be it, take your time and continuing the development style as long as the quality reaches the Xbox version. Just keep in mind, my dear developers, some thousands of players are waiting to shovel some cashes in your annual bonus. Later means less :)

In my opinions, these consoles can barely bring much profit to the GGG. But it worths trying if GGGs are not waiting for the retirement while hanging on this game only. So please do the hard work. Taking all the complains as the careness, the game will speak for itself.
POE is for sure a free-for-fun game, but as far as I know and see,it's also a pay-to-win game.

Today is the 12th of March. If GGG can only announce it 2 weeks before it launches, the most optimistic (read:unlikely) date would be 26th of March. They'd have to announce it today, though. And it is already 6 PM in New Zealand.

26th of March would be almost 3 weeks after the PC launch of Synthesis (8th on PC). Would this mean that we get a shorter League? No, people won't be able to complete many of the challenges then. It would then have to end 3 weeks after the league ends on PC.

This means that all the future leagues get a delay of 3 weeks. While I don't expect GGG to release PC/console at the same time (PoE is a PC first game, they shouldn't delay PC for the sake of consoles), having to wait 3 weeks for a new league spells Diminished excitement. In 3 weeks the loot is already discovered. Best way to farm is discovered. Cookie cutter builds are discovered. All new exciting things are already found out.

This is of course in the utmost-best-case-scenario that it gets announced TODAY. What happens when the delay is 4 weeks? 1.5 months? Will GGG start the PS4 launch in the middle of the league? I doubt that. All the buzz from a new league is gone. Does this mean that PS4 will skip yet another league (see:syndicate) because it is late to the party?

If so, should we wait for the summer?

I know GGG is eager to get the game out, and people will probably still play it regardless of when it releases. I wish GGG nothing but success. But at the same time we are kind of defeated / tired. December promise (triggered by Diablo Immortal), delayed until "probably January but we can confidently say beginning of February". No word for a while, and only in a passing note somewhere in Jan/Feb mentioning "Oh we aim for releasing PS4 together with the next expansion (synthesis) a few weeks after PC release", which effectively meant that Early February was not happening. Now latest information we have is "Mid March is targeted, but we can't know 2 weeks before it happens".

Well it is already Mid March (almost), but if the 2 weeks still stand out - as I mentioned in my opening paragraph - the release is LATE March at the EARLIEST; aka if everything goes smoothly.

Moves the PS4 version but right up to August, then it is 2 years after XBOX release ...

Then it is also SUMMER and many players are already gone, but what is good is that fewer servers are needed!

December would have been a great date as many play during the cold season and there would have been more (paying) people coming to POE who did not know the game yet.

Nothing will go smoothly. Not because GGG bad devs, but because they just don't care much about PS4 version. Let's face the truth - it will NOT come out mid-March or late-March or any March at all. April, maybe.
The most important is - hype is gone. I borrowed my wife's laptop to play a little now and then and realised, that this is enough for me. I will definitely try it out on PS4 when it become available, but i will not go rage on another countless delay.

UGH.. if it doesnt come out in March for ps4, I think ill just spend my playstation money on mortal kombat 11. Which just means I wont bother playing on the playstation since i have so much stuff unlocked on the pc version. I thought the playstation version would be different as in the first playstation member to hit level 2, 3, 4, etc and first playstation member to access zone 1, 2, 3... if thats not the case, i dont know why i'd want to play on the playstation :(

The 6 months following the release of Warframe on consoles Digital Extremes profits were equal to the profits they made the year before. I wouldn't expect ggg to make twice as much after release because there are many more competing games on console now. The purchasing power of console players is nothing to be laughed at. If ggg doesn't get the launch right they stand to loose a lot of money. Looks like HandOfApollo is interested in giving ggg some money.

Don't expect the empyrean pack to come out as is. Sony has a max dollar amount that they allow devs to charge. ggg can break it down into smaller packs so you might be able to buy empyrean packs 1, 2, and 3.

I started last league and played for 3 weeks before I had to make the choice to stop playing or buy stash tabs because leaving loot behind in a loot game isn't really much of an option. 3 weeks of a free game wasn't bad but it's more of feature limited demo. With the introduction of Synthesis I wouldn't have gone more than 3 days without the need to buy stash tabs. After 3 days of playing I wouldn't have bought any packs and stopped playing PoE.
I waited quite disappointed even this March measure to accept with humbleness but as far as possible, go out for a great game ps4 now. For lack of info for today and dragging this production I give up. Sorry for bad language.
