The evidence can be seen by reloading the page in your browser at 00:00 on the 1st of the month following the date given on the site. So, if a game is listed as releasing in March, and you refresh the page at midnight on the 1st of April the release date will show "Out Now" instead.
The reality is that I went to their website on March 5th (as did many others) and the release date was February 2019. I agree that it could be automated but it isn't.

It's the same method that lots of online retail websites and generic countdown timers use (though not the Synthesis one on this site, I just tried), and is either done locally via Javascript, or server-side as the page is loaded in the browser. That kind of automation is pretty standard. The only time a date is ever manually entered is when a new game is added to the database, or a date has to be manually adjusted for reasons of a delay or even early release.
I don't know why your comparing that web page to an online retail store. All it does is display some standard information about a video game. This information does not change frequently and does not require any automation. That would needlessly complicate the page and increase the cost of running it. I'm sure the KISS principle was implemented here.

I find this lack of communication really concerning. For 2 years now I am switched to Playstation as my main gaming hardware, and seeing PoE comming to PS4 I was hyped. GGG is now totally killing my hype. At this point I am expecting an announcement of further delay...nothing more.

Basically we have the announcement of further delay.

We are working hard to get a release date for PlayStation 4 users and are getting closer each day. As we mentioned previously, we will only be able to announce the release date two weeks out from launch. We are extremely eager to announce this date as soon as we possibly can and bring Path of Exile to the waiting PlayStation 4 community.
At this point i just want to ask GGG one thing:

Sadly, yes. Mid-march is out of the question, clearly. GGG promises cost less than air they breathing.
