Update about Path of Exile on PlayStation 4
This company is like all the others. Bullshit and blame everything but themselves. Their first excuse was that Sony was taking longer than expected to complete the certification process (we all know thats bs at this point).
Just like Xbox was suppose to get text chat and a major QoL patch including guilds, pvp,and trade api over a year ago? Then it's stated they'll give us a release date on PS4 two weeks prior to launch (suppose to be mid-March?) March 6th plus two weeks... March 20th Define what mid-March means in New Zealand please. |

" Actualy Im not blaming company. At the end they are working for $ as usual as other companies. And everything is based on $/hour in real world. However, thing makes me sad is how GGG careless about its announcements and work. |
|
" WAY to early for that kind of questions. About time to ask this: should we wait till early may or late june? |
|
" The date may be in a database but there's no evidence to suggest that there are any algorithms that check it. On March 5th makarijepoe and I'm sure many others can confirm that the release date was February 2019. On March 6th it changed to "Out Now". Sony probably hosts web pages for thousands of developers games that mostly do not change. Although this information may change from time to time it doesn't make sense for them to make any changes without getting a request from a developer to make that change. What I think happened is someone at ggg read the forums and told someone else at ggg that the release date on sony's website needs to be updated. That person sent a request to sony to update the release date on their web page because it's wrong. Someone at sony got the request and said to themselves "Well, February is over it must be out now. I'll update this web page and let the fine folks at ggg know I done good and close this request". I'm sure it's pretty stressful at ggg right now with their next expansion about to be released so I'll allow it. They'll fix it soon or maybe they won't. I don't think a lot of people go to that website for game related info anyway. The Playstation Blog is pretty good. I hope to see some Synthesis update information there soon. |

" ha! Now's a perfect time to ask these questions. The team supporting the forums is probably pretty busy writing up all those juicy posts in Announcements, Development Manifesto, and Patch Notes. I hope they respond with something early next week. If all we do here is complain about not having a release date or the website is wrong they'll have nothing to reply to. |

话三月嘅,三月之后又三月,三月之后又三月,十月都嚟紧头啦!老细!
PS:This is a language meme by Cantonese from the Chinese movie Infernal Affairs. It can be translated to English like this: You said three months is enough. Then you added another three months. And you added another three months again. Now it's nearly the end of the 10th month from the starting, boss! It was three years in the original movie. POE is for sure a free-for-fun game, but as far as I know and see,it's also a pay-to-win game. Last edited by orcasdli#4858 on Mar 8, 2019, 12:48:29 AM

" Pretty sure you are used google translate lol. |

When did GGG become a triple A studio? This release date hotdogging is some Bethesda level giving the finger to people who want to play your game.
I usually regret not buying supporter packs instead of just buying micro transactions so that posts on topics like this would hold more weight, but after this debacle I am regretting my tabs and cosmetics. Last edited by VILAmoureux#2044 on Mar 7, 2019, 10:20:45 AM

" The evidence can be seen by reloading the page in your browser at 00:00 on the 1st of the month following the date given on the site. So, if a game is listed as releasing in March, and you refresh the page at midnight on the 1st of April the release date will show "Out Now" instead. It's the same method that lots of online retail websites and generic countdown timers use (though not the Synthesis one on this site, I just tried), and is either done locally via Javascript, or server-side as the page is loaded in the browser. That kind of automation is pretty standard. The only time a date is ever manually entered is when a new game is added to the database, or a date has to be manually adjusted for reasons of a delay or even early release. Most of Sony's website tech, including the PSN itself, relies heavily on automation. There is no staff-member that presses a button as soon as the clock strikes midnight to declare games officially out and downloads to start (that would be unfeasible), or text to change on webpages. It's just scheduled and done automatically, and manual interventon is only required when something obviously needs to be changed or corrected that they're aware of. " I tried to reverse-translate that, and ended up with: The words of March, March and March, March and March, October, are tight! Old fine! |
