^ to the question above - this is by far the strongest, most OP build I've ever played. My survivability, damage etc are through the roof. I run through packs without fear, spraying my arrows once while my pet one shots them.

Also wanted to thank the guy from earlier for the recommendation on vaal discipline - that "oh shit" button really helps out a lot. Hell, you can use it in the darkness in delve even. That's awesome


Well, that it is OP is well known. I at least was talking about the frustration of the Crawler being an idiot and the slow clear speed it is promising while leveling. I mean, Ele Hit and Holy Flame Totems are also OP, both clocking in at 4mio+ Shaper DPS. And those have insane clear speed on top. I am of course not trying to compare these totally different builds, just saying, that I can see myself get frustrated by the Crawler very early in the endgame. And I love minion builds, so it is not that. But I guess the lack of frustration those in the endgame have is a good sign that it does eventually get better :D

And thanks for the info on reservation, looks like one ring with reduced reservation will be needed. Planning to use Aspect of the Spider. The huge offensive and defensive boosts of that make losing one ring slot easily worth it. And its not really lost either I guess, has attributes and whatever second Herald mod I get.

Nah - I figured it out - you're only level 36. Once you get access to curse on hit with projectile weakness, and profane bloom...your clearing gets MUCH better


Had curse on hit Proj. Weakness since level 24. When he does shoot, he clears a pack because of the pierce from that. Problem is, he is not reliably shooting because for some reason he seems to prefer running 1.5 meters behind me whenever I move an inch. But I will give it a rest, and just hope I can stick it out until it gets better.

Hey everyone,

Having great fun with the build since my bow is done, thanks a lot for all the input. I'll be looking into including harrier since it sounds great for the build.

A humble request, as I'm not that experienced and this is actually my first CI character. I'm on ~9.5k es at the moment, which is probably plenty but as I'm still learning most end game encounters (played hardcore until now and never got that far / had the balls to try) I would like to get more where I can.

Could anyone more experienced please look into my gear and make a recommendation on what to upgrade next and how? Would be very much appreciated.

My plan so far for the various gear slots:

Helmet: Unfortunately the base is not optimal but for now I really need the resistances on it so I don't want to reroll yet. Hubris circlets with the enchant are a bit expensive for me at the moment, but definitely a long term plan.

Jewellery: I know my one ring does pretty much nothing and I am going to upgrade it for a budget one later. Long term I want to get +flat es +es from body armor mods on all but it's a bit expensive so I'm watching the market. Or do you think it might be cheaper to craft it with dense fossils myself? Going to need some resistances in those slots as well tho.

Body Armor: I am currently looking for an armor that allows me to put 5G1B in, preferably with at least one white slot so I'm a bit more flexible with Enfeeble/Poacher's Mark. I will then craft that with dense fossils and probably aim for ~650+ ES if possible.

Check the OP's crafting video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQR9khTVP5A&t=357s. If you want to include white sockets, I think you can only do that with Vorici as a level 3 in Research. (And results are RNG dependent.)

I've seen that but - correct me if I'm wrong - I feel like this method with the jeweller - crafting and having to six link yourself has the potential to be A LOT more expensive than just buying a proper base (which as far as I'm seeing go for 3-4ex atm) or going with a 3-4 green one and trying to use rank 3 vorici on it, which has a decent chance of success and you can just sell it again if you fail.

Not really, you get 30 dex from quiver and you need a little bit from neck. Biggest problem is str.

You can get 3x30 strength on the tree for very little investment. Also You have to keep in mind, with Shaper's Touch, the 30 strenght node is more valuable than 5-6% max energy shield when it gives you both ES+Mana and helps you with any strength requirements.

I don't believe you, simply because curse on hit requires level 38 to equip. When I checked your profile and wrote that, you were 36.

The build is clunkier than elemental hit felt - that being said the survivability is leagues ahead

Dude, why would I lie, or why would you assume that I am confused or whatever when I am clearly not a new player? The trick is: Mark of Submission! Which was equipped when you checked my profile and requires level 24 and had a Proj Weakness gem inside of it.

Anyway, apart from that, I figured out why it felt so bad around the level 30-40 mark. I of course always level with Seven-League Steps and an Alchemist's Quicksilver Flask of Adrenaline which gives me around 130% movement speed. The crawler was simple too slow to catch up and shoot stuff. Now after I got some more movement speed on him it feels a lot better. The other thing is, that it missed a lot of accuracy and therefore didnt really kill reliably. That also was fixed with the mionion nodes.

I can also tell anybody leveling to get Vixens Entrapment at level 36. A ton of ES and you can apply another curse without going up to Whispers of Doom so early. The Frenzy Charges from Poachers mark make a huge difference.

Anyway, now its actually ok to level and I hope it gets even better in 4 levels when I can equip this
and start using Hatred.

Gambled on that a little bit. Bought a fractured ring with the mana reservation mod for 80c and then got two Amethyst rings with two fractured mods, one +ES and the other mana. Then crafted faster start of recharge for 2xRegal and threw them in the machine. Sadly no %ES implicit, but I am pretty happy about how it turned out. Two kind of useful implicits and the best second Herald mod :D

Now I soon need to decide about how hard I want to go with this build. Is the cheaper way with the bow with +1 level and Vicious Projectiles good enough or should I go for one with +1 level implicit and +1 level and 20% more damage affix? Same crafts of course.

The latter will be around 17-20% more total damage and have a lot lower mana reservation as its only a 6-link, opening up other things to use that for, like Aspect of the Spider. But it would also cost me around ~10ex more.

Maybe the best way to go would be to craft the cheaper one and if I see that I will stick with the build for a while I will go for the +1 level implicit.

The DPS is definitly good, just once you take every ES nodes possible on the tree, i guess then we get minion damage with whats left on the tree, have to get something :D
