Time Capsule from PoE Closed Beta -- a classic PoE vs D3 thread circa 2012

There are already some websites with weapon affixes, datamined from the beta.
Take a look at this rare Mighty Weapon:
http://diablonut.incgamers.com/item/exalted-grand-massacre-axe

it seems the skill bonuses are for legendary items, since they didn't appear here...
PoE forums ignore list script:
http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/162657

0.4: added "ignore" button. ignore list is now saved locally.

'+6 random properties' ...

EDIT: Nvm didn't see the affixes list.

I don't know, I wouldn't base anything on datamining and such, since the full game is in no one's possession.

But then again, rare items in D2 barely ever contained +skill affixes, and if they did, they were generally caster-like items.

I also would like to see what they have for end game, not really fond of basic stats taking 3/5 slots on rare.

As for "Every character is basically the same", well... LOL :D

I'm not sure what the issue is with stats? we have only seen the very tip of the iceberg that is the itemization of Diablo 3. There's not very much on offer on the website (and legendaries don't even have stats listed yet)

As for end game? I guess you haven't heard but they introduced a new difficulty Inferno where mobs start at 61 (players capped at 60) and the final 2 acts are supposed to be brutally difficult.

There are internal bets at Blizzard amongst employees on how many months (not weeks or days) it will take someone to clear the final act of inferno.

Sounds like there's plenty of end game.

poe will end up leeching Blizzard's idea, just like they leeched and copied paste everything else.

And silly clowns are still paying money on this, a fancy D2 clone with crappy game systems.
You mad?

Your comment has nothing to do with what you quoted...
Don't post if you have nothing meaningful to add please.

What you just said in what I quoted made me pause, however.
I had _completely_forgotten_ about "how I felt the first time I ventured into Tristram's Cathedral." Joy and wonder, I can hardly believe it.

Bring me PoE and D3 both, I can't wait to decide.

Why decide when you can play both of them?
That's what I'll be doing. :)

I am very disappointed in diablo 3 and blizzard. But I will still buy it because it's fun to play, and becouse its diablo. And I will be playing PoE for shure.
I am a diablo 3 beta tester......have been for awhile... I gave up on playing the beta for diablo 3 as I just couldnt shake the disgust the new diablo 3 provided and the reason was quite simple.
"Its nothing like the game I came to enjoy before it,
hell it didnt even seem to feel like the same story."

The diablo 3 supporter's can sugar coat this truth as much as they like but to be honest...... after months of not going anywhere near my copy of the diablo 3 beta and plenty of suggestions down the drain on their forums. I found this game randomly long after I quit now....... And am completely addicted/content.

And thus I dub this the diablo 3 I was hopeing for, I dont give a rats arse that it wasnt made by blizzard or even has a different story. Its got everything diablo 3 shouldve had.

This has the Graphics/gameplay/complexity and feel of the series and lives up to the expectation of everything the current diablo 3 couldnt, and atleast this feels rewarding.

I wont be buying D3 even for the lore. I will be playing this happy as hell.

I am content in this decision, re-persuasion to go back is futile :) .

And hey, Stop dissing diablo 3 so much guys....A new generation and older fans have to learn how bad D3 dissapoints one way or another.
"find their way here, they will :) ."

I initially had high hopes for poe because there was so much hype and buzz about it.

I got the beta and unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment, it's nothing but a diablo 2 clone with improved graphics, but no achievements, progression and horrible, horrible lore. There was also a huge lack of fun factor like D2, although D2 had many flaws. poe lack even the basic fundamentals of what makes a game fun.

Then I finally got my hands on D3 beta and wow, playing that beautifully dark, gloomy setting, even though it was only 10% of act 1, brought me back to the D1 days.

Skills were awesome, classes were superb, there was a huge sense of progression, monsters were fun to kill, and I was back to being immersed in a dark gothic world that was called Diablo. Most importantly it had the elements of fun and originality.

D3 beta 9/10, 1 star missing because I could only play a little of Act 1

poe beta 1/10, 1 star for the effort of trying to compete with Blizzard
You mad?

@flybutterfly: Fail. You clearly stated in your early posts that you played D3 first before PoE. Matter of fact you were bashing and trolling about PoE before you even said you played it(aka. becoming a beta member)...
