o some where made by the same player
o some are about things that have been changed/improved after there were created
o this isn't enough of a sample in any freaking way to conclude something as stupid as "the vast majority of which would love for lab to not be a thing"

- less than 200 players voting is insignificant enough so that only people that have no clue how statistics work ( or are being of so much bad faith that there are resorting to that kind of crap, not having anything left ) can take conclusions from a strawpoll in such a context.

I'm not a huge fan of traps and never have been, but I do like the way the game presents us with a special challenge to unlock the EXTREMELY powerful ascendancy points. I wouldn't be against an additional/alternate method of getting ascendancies - but it should be just as tough.

One final point for the OP: it's perfectly fine to dislike the lab and how it works, but you lose credibility when you pretend you're representative of some majority of players that nobody's ever actually measured. We simply don't have very many statistics on player opinions about things, and it's possible there are people who personally dislike the lab but understand why it's in the game and wouldn't support its removal either (similar stances occur in discussions surrounding the softcore death penalty).

I wish GGG conducted more official surveys that would get way higher rates of response than a player-administered poll, but alas they don't seem to do that often.

No Fruz, what's hopeless is your ability to accept reality. There's literally no point arguing with you, I don't even know why I waste my time bothering with it because nothing will ever force you to accept reality.

Neil Degrasse Tyson once said that he asked a guy what it would take to convince him the moon landing was real. The guy replied images of the moon of the footprints, landing marks and the flag would convince him it wasn't fake, so he found Chinese pictures of the moon landing location and the guy still didn't accept it, which prompted Neil to give up dealing with him as a hopeless case because it was clear he would never accept it regardless of evidence, logic or facts.

This is where we are with you Fruz. There's a 790 page thread, no other thread in the history of POE has ever even come close to that, but you don't accept it because of "circle jerking". There's a thread showing 410+ posts of complaints about lab, but you don't accept it because its "sometimes made by the same player/different complaints/not enough sample size". There's a strawpoll that is apparently "insignificant" because in your mind a vote doesn't count if it isn't some arbitrary number apparently larger than the number on that thread.

So I'm going to ask the Neil question of you Fruz: What evidence would it take to convince you that lab is bad for POE? Because from where I'm standing, literally every possible bit of evidence that can exist, does exist, and you do not accept it. Thus you are failing the Neil test.
