Since GGG forced lab down our throats, how about some protection from lab carries that quit or die?

Cyclone build that I used viper strike on.

The build ripped on Atziri later on.
It's still in the ladder though, it's easy to check ( rank 1555 SSF HC Incursion it seems, according to the API ).


Since you obviously have some reading comprehension problems ( even though I ended up quoting myself because you didn't get it the first time ), I'm going to let you keep talking to yourself, trying to convince yourself that you are super skillfull and if you cannot do something, nobody else can.

SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

The one try mechanic doesn't make sense in making the lab feel generic or long winded so therefore it is only attributed to what makes it tedious.

that might be what he meant, but what was said > what one has to guess person meant, especially in the context of now multiple pages of arguments.

plus, it's splitting hairs. as it makes for the same exact argument. if it's tedious due to failing... it's the same as if it's repetitive due to failing. we're talking about literal complaints because of failures.

if the person passed the lab on his first try, he negates his own complaint.

plus, it's redundant. as it's following repetitive.

Neh, it seems like every single person here knows what he ment. Because it's a common thing to loathe about lab. You just took a cheap shot at the dude and then spent 3 pages being pedantic on how dcing is also technically failing, because you couldn't make up words any longer. It's childish honestly.

That is besides the point of disliking the 1 try mechanic having nothing to do with failing. I did the last 50 labs without 'failing' and I still hate it. Because there is always that possibility you might dc, or have to step away (In your words fail miserably) Dying or actually failing to do lab is only a small part of not completing it because of it.

I said it is tedious. It is tedious with certain builds. Builds that are slow moving or not particularly good dealing single target damage earlier on or less mobile. This adds TIME to what is already an overly long game addition comparatively. My complaint or grievance is "mandatory means of progression".

With slower builds, as in builds that don't move though the lab particularly quickly, have to worry about disconnects. Due to the "one try mechanic" not ".....so you usually fail them, then?".

If the game was perfectly optimised and didn't disconnect schizophrenically for a myriad of reasons from graphical errors to excessive server latency then it wouldn't be an issue. However, as labs are a "mandatory means of progression" these issues are valid user complaints.

They also require specific items to attempt making unforeseen lab failures from the afore mentioned known game issues that much more tedious. Tedious definition - after 20-30 minutes of navigating a maze which you didn't want to do in the first place, the game freeze at the last boss or lags in the middle of a spike trap or opening of a strongbox or......

Labs take significantly longer to complete compared to any other game elements. A map will take 2 minutes and has 6 tries so disconnects don't matter. The main game has portals all over so this "mandatory means of progression" is effected minimally by disconnects etc.

I thought what I originally said was pretty self-evident but obviously not. There are two ways to solve these issues from a player perspective.

1) Solve all the compatibility and server issues.
2) Remove "mandatory means of progression".

Making labs optional seems the logical approach but this is my subjective opinion using what empirical and objective data I have gained playing the game.

Bug Fixes:
People were using cyclone for actual melee builds, so we nerfed it and made blade vortex. Also, we went ahead and made cyclone great for CoC casters while we were at it.

So .. you spend 2 mins for a full map, but 20-30 minutes for the lab ?
Are you being slow in there on purpose for the sake of the arguments ?

If you full clear in 2 mins, you are speed running.
If you can speed running like this and are worried of LDs in lab, then speed run it too.


As a side note, the couple of weeks (or a bit more) after the lab release were full of bug and the lab wasn't very stable, but this has been improved a real lot : now, if you are still crashing/disconnecting as often as you seem to tell us, there are likely issues on your end somewhere.

Are you high or something ?
My cycloner was significantly faster than the Jugg (100 + millions/hour until 90), and ripped to a mistake on Atziri (it was unlucky, but it was my bad), for a build hardly adapted to the encoutner (ramping up damage).

Not that it matters, and you're completely off-topic.
But since you're off-topic and want to start pretending that you know something about HC ..... if you really want to start talking about HC, you should reach lvl 90 first btw.

The only backpedal is on your part. Everyone but you seemed to understand what he meant. Your assertion that he must fail lab all the time fails on its face from the beginning. His first post said he would farm for enchants that would be ridiculous if he failed lab all the time.

You are just making up an argument based on nothing. You were obviously wrong. Digging in on a ridiculous position is really making you look foolish.
