I cast phase run, and 2 vortex and done.. not enough regen.


for mana you have the "shaper" node, just 2 point above EE can help.
i see you have an empty jewel slot to.

can have mana regen affix on your's amulet, and for ES , you can add suffix on one of your ring " 15% faster start ES", could help to.

Yes it is. Some veilmods are syndicate member specific but spell trigger isnt on the list.

Yes, just be careful with elemental reflect as your initial hit will reflect, but not the DoT.

Against big group of enemies you want to hit as few as possible or just drop it in front of them. But when you get to the boss just go ham because the initial hit against one enemy is negligible.

No regen is kinda dangerous if you don't mind your ES, the recharge still works, but you have 0 regen until it starts recharging.

I always go for "Vortex has 30% increased Cooldown Recovery Speed".

Otherwise DMG should be fine, too.

What do you guys think about Rime Gaze and -% Cold resist crafted helm?

I see many people using Rime Gaze but I'm thinking about what ZiggyD said in his video. Which pair would be better DPS and ES wise, Rime Gaze(Cold Snap here) + Normal ES gloves or -% Cold resist + Gloves(Cold Snap here) with "Socketed Gems deal 30% more Damage over Time".

Since this is a defensive build, I don't like Rime Gaze at all.
I crafted a nearby enemies have -9% cold resist helm with ES mods instead.

Focus here is to deal enough damage (which this build will do) and focus the rest on defensive stats.

If you want a damage build, you could also switch out one-hand+shield with a staff or run a completely different build.

What beast to buy then? I have no idea. Buying the craft from trade seems a bit risky to give a 2 ex belt to someone and just trust them.


You can buy Fenumus, First of the Night and beastcraft the belt yourself. According to poe.ninja, the going rate for the beast is 40c right now. Also, make sure you have a open suffix on your belt for the craft.


why belt?
Im pretty sure it could be crafted on nearly any item.
Choose the item which you think will be upgraded at last (so ur "best" item)
