[3.5] Occultist Vortex/Cold Snap ES/CI - Deathless and Safe Uber Elder and T16's

Is it worth it to take arcane expanse and arcane will and maybe skip the templar starting area? We lose like 9% increased damage and 5% cast speed but gain more mana and more energy shield.

Both are good, and I'm fairly sure there's enough points left over for you to get both. I would absolutely find space for Arcane Will though, even if you have to lose some damage somewhere else. It's so good.

how am i gonna craft 3red+1green socket on a pure int item at the start of the league?

Activated this Build on Standard and realized I lost a ton of DMG. Anyone knows why and how?
Are there way to compensate this?

Neat build - 55 atm with pretty potato gear and it's going great guns, thanks.

Any thoughts on trying to fit the new ES Leech gem into the Vortex setup, and on Light Eater ES Leech passive, or are they not really necessary ? There seems to be room for pretty much all of them, along with the Arcane Expanse/Will nodes, for the sacrifice a bit of raw shield or 'Other' damage.

Arcane Expanse seems pretty neat for clearing / levelling too as you can proc it with cold snap then drop some beefy Vortexes.

Vortex is a dot, it can't leech.
