Is regular Cold Snap used or only Vaal Cold Snap?

On a good note, started seeing some decently rolled weapons showing up for sale with Triggers a socket spell on them this morning.

Picked up a wand with about 100% spell damage (total), 25% cold DOT and triggers for an exalt.

I think I doubled my DPS by getting that enchant :)

The guide uses Vaal Cold Snap, but you could use regular if you wanted to. Looking at my Betrayal character in PoB, the actual level 20 Vaal Cold Snap skill is right at 100k dot dps and Cold Snap itself at about 80k dot dps. A level 21 regular Cold Snap is about 90k dot dps.

It all depends on how much you use Vaal Cold Snap. It really isn't necessary for trash, map bosses T15 and below go down easy enough without it, and you have limited soul gain during bosses like Shaper and Uber Elder. You could make an argument that a level 21 Cold Snap will give you slightly more consistent damage, though the difference between that and a level 20 Vaal Cold Snap is minimal. At level 20 for both gems there really isn't a reason to not use Vaal Cold Snap, provided you can acquire one.

I think you can "stack" regular and Vaal Cold Snap, right? For when you need the extra DPS.

did someone already got that Trigger a Socketed Spell when you Use a Skill veiled mod?

couldnt find it so far :( , bought a trigger weapon with 120% increased , but crafted one myself with 170% and with an open suffix... but cant find that veiled mod ^^.

Question: should i level orb of storm/storm brand up? or leave it on lvl 1 because of mana cost

Ive been wondering this for awhile and given the recent topic of cold damage to spells on items, in the first place, does adds# to # cold dmg on lets say my sceptre do anything?

What's the minimum ES for CI? I have 6.9k eHP or can go to 5.5k ES?
