No because winter orb is a channeled skill and BV not.

Well we don't know that yet, from what we have seen in vids, which is all we have, it looks like it works the exact same way, you can even see it builds stacks the same way

It is a channeling skill. BV never was a channeling skill.

And it doesnt build the stacks like BV, every blade you cast with BV is a new cast. And Winter orb has even a channeling animation.

Thats just how they have it written there, thats not whats actually on the skill gem. If you consider how it ramps up which again is exactly like BV, then BV should be considered a channel too. You can literally click the spell on either to get a stack

And why does it use a channeling animation then? And holding the mousebutton doesnt make something a channeling skill, otherwise every skill in this game would be a channeling skill.

But if you a forced to hold it then it's clearly a channeling skill.

sorry but GGG are way more careful with their wording than that, because the wording is everything in this game
