Veiled Mods: Focus

My dual curse summoner had hotkeys short already.

Move
Raise zombie
Raise spectre
Curse 1
Curse 2
Convoke
Desecrate
IIQ/IIR culling arc (also to guide minions)
Movement spell/skill
Flesh offering
Aura
Golem
Vaal skill

Spectre, aura, golem and maybe zombies could be overlapped once active tho.

I feel like most builds have 1-2 skills that they spam so for me, a short cooldown, is welcomed, to use something else other than right click all the time. Maybe add the occasional curse, but that's also another spam. Auras don't really count as skills to use. What's wrong with having options?

"PoE desperately needed something like this due to the game railroading you into basically spamming the same skill non stop without any notion of strategy or timing involved. " - Someone said this. I really hope this is competitive enough with the focus everything in one skill approach.
Ascend with precision!
If you keep adding stuff that needs keys to activate you should also give us more keybinds.

I'm sure this is just a bad presentation where a key-mod is missing (and a link to the gem).

Maybe the focus gem has something with "less cooldown peer gem level" or "increased duration peer gem level". We don't know. Else it would only make sense except for short time dps boosts with "nearby enemys are shocked".

Why should I use the "cast sockeded spells when focussed" with long cooldown if I could just cast them directly? Would only make sense, when they are repetetly cast without the need to press the button again (Vortex "Aura" for 4 seconds?).
Just to press 1 button instead of 4?

Not so hyped by this news.

It's not a gem. Everyone is crying about gems when you didn't even read the news properly. God... annoying.

What kind of a build are you playing that needs all key binds? You cast auras once. Heralds as well. Then rmove from bar once cast. Out of sight, out of mind (change back to it temporarily if you need to recast, which you usually only do once per play session, or you die).

Everyone is so overreacting, holy moly. Calm down.

Summon your stuff, remove from bar. Spectres don't die as a summoner. neither do golems or zombies or other summons, so thats a free slot.
Offering and desecrate can be in a focus helmet if the mod doesnt take a pre- or suffix, which I highly doubt though.

Your bar should be

Move
IIQ/IIR Minion-Guiding spell
Convocation
Movement skill
Desecrate
Offering

Done. Although as a summoner, depending on the mods, I doubt focus is even useful. We will see what kind of summoner-related mods we get :)

Well keybinds are part of the build. Having limited number of keybinds actually increases build diversity, you know that you have to make trade offs. Atleast that's the same as it was in d3 and i actually like this approach.
Another new key to bind? This game will soon require 10 fingers on one hand to play. Making it more complex is not a good idea.

Considering people can get upwards of 20k or a lot more evasion, that's a 4 second immortality right there.

And yeah, yet another toolbar button = no thanks. Unless they do a *dramatic* change to the current toolbar, which is woefully inadequate these days, it's just more to juggle.

nice math

the vast majority of builds use like 3-4 binds...
Maybe give us more buttons to press??

nice math

1% of 20K evasion does not mean regen 200% life over 4s, it means 200 life over 4s. => Useless with 20K and 1%.

If you stack multiple "1% evasion" mods on various equipment, and have 50K+ evasion, this becomes more interesting. Still needs more investment to be worth it though (increased buff effect or so).
SSF for ever :)
