Changes to Zana and the Atlas

Is there going to be Elder's Stronghold as well?
Good to hear considering I'm clueless as to what's going on with Zana all around. Other then she's looking to save her dad.

A SSF friendly change; VERY nice. Some people might find a way to abuse it, but then again; it doesn't spread like elder influence so maybe not. Should be fun for now though.

Also, for the people bitching about headhunter prices dropping as a result: 1) you are greedy and don't want your headhunter to lose value, 2) this stuff has a % chance of spawning and then a % chance of dropping unique items and then a % chance of spawning league specific unique items and then a % chance of actually spawning a desires league specific unique which might be weighted as they didn't say it wasn't. That's FOUR layers of rng, so the prices may go down a little, but the thing is still gonna be super rare and most people will still get 2 to 6 of those league specifics per league probably. And it's STILL an upgrade for SSF, so thats nice.

I use trash uniques because they are not trash, just not the BIS for late late game, so don't do that. But lighting up connection paths when you hoover over maps should be nice.

This has lots of potential.

Hopefully the stronghold enhanced maps are quite a bit tougher than they'd be without the stronghold.

Elder portals add quite a bit to map challenge but the other influences don't.

Well, there's a distinct difference in that SHAPER influence doesn't have to be contiguous. So functionally, all it does is prevent ELDER influence from moving past it: it serves as a block.

So if you DID get it close to said "good map," there's no guarantee there will be shaper influence on it. I suppose you COULD use it by drawing your Elder Blob near it: the stronghold will block the blob from expanding past it, and present a good "edge" as you repeatedly flip an adjacent map. The stronghold would prevent the Elder Blob from expanding too much, but it'd be no guarantee against the SHAPER expanding too much.


yeah good point, it is different since shaper chases elder blobs but not the other way around

but for real though, everyone whos going to grind ugs or mansion will try get the stronghold close to it and try push elder too since influence is just too good to pass up
