slow minions a must run for speed clear? What are you smoking boy.
And a Herald never will out performance a real aura for only dmg purpose.

I feel like GGG needs to put an alternative physical herald in (Herald of Force?) or EVERY MELEE PHYS BUILD will be running around with minions.

I don't WANT Minions on every phys build I make.... thats fucking retarded
Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
seems cool, but being a solo player, having a whole ascendancy promoting party play kinda gives me pause.. How will Templar's Guardian perform in solo play? Will it be on par with other top ascendancies?? usually when a character is promoted as a group play style, their solo performance drops. I really hope this isn't the case because I am looking forward in playing around with Smite, but I wont play in a party.

most people run an aura and a herald already though, and Hatred plus this Herald will be best in slot for EVERY phys bleed and/or Poison scaling build.

Literally every Poison build will have minions runing around with them
Every (admitedly almost none) Bleed build will need to run this and thus will have minions running around with them.
Every "Phys added as" exploiting build will want this Herald and thus have minions
Every sunderboi has minions

This herald seems like a big homogenizing derp on GGG's part if you ask me.

So are the other heralds and, just in case, hoards of other trashy ON KILL EFFECTS from gear and passives being buffed to work on bosses in this patch?

I mean, it's only expected for 3-4 patches after bosses hp got buffed 10.000%.
Buff life on the right side of the tree! Just a little! Pretty Please!

I am 100% with you, I want to try Smite and I most play solo except for daily rotas.
If I go first, I'll wait for you in the other side of the dark water.
Not sure how I feel about ascendancys leaning heavily towards specific skills. Result of Path of Tencent?
Fixed a bug where monsters could turn to a gateway in Japan to play Path of Exile's story.
Honestly I think the guardian nodes will need to be quite potent to make me choose it over champion or necro... If the minions deal halfway decent damage a bow champion (pick whatever skill) with a mirage archer+ toxic rain and curse on hit temp chains would be quite a different and safe play style.

Also for people saying the nodes will be to specialised have you looked at necro? Sure it's not 2 for the same skill but 5 of its notables are tied to specific skills....

You can specialise in this Herald to some degree with one of the new Guardian Ascendancy notable passives, Radiant Crusade, which boosts the amount of added Physical Damage you get from the effect of the Herald, as well as increasing the area of effect of your Sentinels of Purity. The other new notable after it even gives them a new, more powerful slam skill on a cooldown.

I really do hope you don't keep going down this route of having entire Ascendancy passives dedicated to specific skills. PoE's passive skills were all pretty general throughout its history, but ever since the Ascendancy rework we seem to heading in the opposite direction. Please reconsider this choice - no more passives mentioning specific skills, let alone dedicating entire Ascendancy branches to them.

P.S.: One exception is the Necromancer - that ones okay imo as each of the branches focuses on a different traditional summoner archetype rather than necessarily specific skill gems per se. It just so happens that spectres, skeles, zombies, etc. are only summoned by specific skills in the game, but that could change anytime with, say, the introduction of some uniques that summon them on trigger as well. Let's just hope the minions get 3% movement speed per gem Level or something. Otherwise they will be too slow to be enjoyable. But i guess that is something that is realized after a moneth or so and then added through a patch.
