Why would herald of ash be better than herald of purity? Wouldn't the scaling on all your items and tree far exceed HoA if you're pure phys/bleed ?

The minions are called Sentinels of Purity, they most likely don't count as Animated Weapon or Animate Guardian.
Strange idea to couple source of phys dmg with minions.

For flat phys scaling builds -> looks like this will be mandatory, but if you use Herald of Purity then Lunaris pantheon will be most probably required as well to not get raped by chains.

Probably it will be at least really useful with some Heartbound Loop/CWDT, Minion Instability gimmicks (if they will be as beefy as they tease)
I wonder how the herald effects look on this one! Such as celestial herald effect :O

But maybe they should scale with player stats and not minion stats... like 'living shadow' from grim dawn. Guardian changes seems bad.

I'd love to see a physical based Hearald or Aura, but this is nice too.
Nice! Herald of Purity + Dominating Blows seems like a nice combination to try in Delve. Lots of minions summoned while doing melee.

My summary on this, which will echo a lot of the feedback by others:

+ Great addition, it feels obvious this should have already existed in the game (as well as poison herald?)

- Skills tied to ascendancies are bad. Forces gameplay, limits options. Feels choreographed, less room for players to experiment and it's literally told to us how to use the skill.

- Forced minions for other builds that will be using Herald of Purity, assuming it's on par with other heralds, are bad, except for the few that might use them as meatshield.

- Forced meta builds, in this case summoners and aurabots: when GGG boost something, they overdo it, and when they nerf something, they overdo it. What happened to balance? I wouldn't even be mad about pushing a certain meta if generic physical damage herald did not fed minions to us. Is it a herald, or is it a summoner herald? It's the same as having certain types of heralds benefiting certain ascendancies or classes. Surely it should be a generic skill that the player base will decide on how to use?

Don't care about the MTX much. Just ensure that physical builds play herald of physique, rather than ignoring it. Please remove minions and make them optional or added with support gems.
