Herald of Purity Skill Reveal
Did they post the skill gem somewhere and I missed it?
I don't know why everyone is super excited. Releasing an Herald with 2 Ascendancies specifically for that 1 gem seems horrible to me. If the +phys is any good, the minions will be garbage for any build not super specialized in them, so they're just an annoyance floating around on your melee builds. It's far more likely that the minions are decent, the phys barely noticeable and we're back to using HoA and Hatred on every build that isn't pure phys. | |
Not bad

Dual Wield - Slippers One-handed & Shield (close combat) - Brush & Basin One-handed & Shield (ranged) - Hair Dryer & Mirror Main-hand & Off-hand (evil witch) - Sponge & Soap |

Not too excited about new skills being tied to specific ascendancies.

I can't help but feel this will basically be another must-run aura for the clear speed/damage meta. I hope I'm wrong once I fully understand how HoP functions.

Cool looking skill, but after reading "ally-centric" I was hoping for something that actually involved other people. Instead it's still the same solo playstyle like almost everything else, just with a new type of minion, trying to make minions more viable on more than just necro. Ally-centric to me would have been something more like a guardian node that makes heralds apply to allies in x radius as well, maybe some increased effect of heralds and/or less mana reservation of them also, like elementalist.
Some small charge changes could do the trick too, like harmony of purpose not just sharing charges with everyone, but everyone also shares your charge limit. If you can have 6 power charges, so can they, even if their normal limit is 3. This way you could have something like a charge battery actually being a viable alternative playstyle in addition to aurabot or cursebot. Charges would need to have a less laggy appearance though, or none at all, just the charge counter at the top of the screen (can't really sit there and count the charges floating around you all the time anyway).
