Global Illumination and Point Light Shadows Preview
Looking cool... But Im happy that even with dynamic resolution I can play around 50 sometimes to 60 FPS on my kinda old notebook... Poor students life...

Waste of times.
Instead of adding new buggy graphic things ggg should fix old buggy graphic things. So sad! | |
I hope this doesn't kill my already choppy FPS as awesome as it looks. Will this perform equally across the spectrum or suffer on poor devices?
One cannot help but wonder how such a lust for loot can affect a persons mind. Although these exiles appear to be our salvation, it would not take much for them to turn on us as easily as they fight gods and demons.

Looking good.
Along with the water overhaul giving it a more realistic behaviour we should see some major visual improvements. Ill have to admit that i take little note the gfx in poe most of the time. Especially the water as most areas dont have any to begin with. I mainly notice the differences when i somehow end up with min. settings and then max. out again. And dont like indoor areas to begin with (backtracking, dead ends, small seperate rooms, limited packsize, doors, etc.) Usually less clearspeed and regardless of that for me always leaves a bit of a bad flavour/ stale taste or what you want to call it. So i hope some of this will be relevant for places i personally prefer aswell. This is certainly going to make at least the atmosphere in the darker areas better. Running between the fires is something i have to check in ist current state before this is patched. That scorching ray didnt look bad, i wonder what something a little more wild like a leveled firestorm would look. At that point i can only hope performance was kept in mind for users of older machines. My main worry is that ill find little time to actually see most of the improvements as usual Theres usually a huge mess in the middle of the screen about where my char is located. Char stacking MTX, dozens of colored projectiles flying all over the place, groups of monsters, their spam on top of mine etc. Not even going to start about a full party where everyone plays the damn wildman to prove hes the fastest and can solo clear a screen or two ahead. So while its good to see that gfx arnt going to be the death of poe any time soon, these changes will mainly affect me in the more quiet moments when im just on my own and take some time to actually look around. Maybe you should just make everybodys movespeed 0 for the release day and force em to take a closer look. Increase MS over time depending on newly explored aspects of the game^^ Last edited by SmokeYaSs on Aug 20, 2018, 6:17:01 AM

Where are tencent haters now?

After seeing this showcase, i am pretty sure i will go back to DX9 no shadow play because this looks stupidly distracting in the average speed play of PoE. Or I am gonna have to go RF just to be the biggest source of light on the scene.

People don't seem to realize crashing performance is a feature not a bug. They want to drive off the poor because the poor don't spend 60$ on mtx every two weeks.
Load times and the the game's response to delayed loading already show that they effectively want to ban everyone without an SSD. Not that facts and logic mean anything to anyone. Why do I bother typing. Too much censorship that you never even see. Totally removed posts and silenced accounts across all communities. https://www.youtube.com/@Innomen

" I was going by what was said in the announcement. "We use point lights extensively in Delve content, so this technique allows us to create a really dark and scary environment in the Azurite Mine. We plan on using this in the main game a lot more in the future." |
