Global Illumination and Point Light Shadows Preview
really good job.
I remember when i started the game : "Great mechanic and, ho well, i can deal with decent graphics." But it's really nice now, lot of improvement as the time pass! thanks a lot Sorry for my quite bad english. Try to do my best <3

Here's my results:
GTX 1070 Overclocked 1920x1080, dynamic resolution disabled, no Vsynch Everything on max without Global Illumination = 170-210fps Everything on max with Global Illumination - 72-80fps |

" Same here. And the stutter is realy noticable. I am pretty sure it will get fixed. GGG I have faith in you |

I was unsure where to post this but i'll try here.
@GGG Is there any possibility you could add some kind of command to revert to the old lightning behaviour? Even with low setting the new sun thing is to taxing for what it is/gives. For us with less good computers. Altho i can run almost 100+ fps in dx9 but always dip to 10ish fps in combat so dx11 is better even with the forced shadows. I've done literally everything i could to try improve the performance, but since this patch i'm forced to play potato mode basically 100% of the time, especially in delves. I used to be able to play this game 40-60 fps all low at 1920/1080. Now i've overclocked my gfx almost 100%, 570mhz to 1000, and memory from 18000mhz to 2200. Which yield me decent frames, apart from delves when you activate azureite encounter (yet again the shadow lightning, kills fps) And it's no heat issues either due CPU peaks at 80c during 100% load on all cores, and gpu 60-65c. My specs are kind of old but it's not terrible either, i could even play rise of the tombraider in 720p, this game shouln't even be able to run on my computer. I7 3610qm, 6gb ram, 120gb ssd, nvidia 640m le 2gb edition (basically rebranded downclocked 660) I realy wish we could revert to the old lightning, it's very noticeable when i play some of the older maps/indoor with not much shadows going on, i can then have smooth 40-60ish fps with some drips below 30 but rarly and dynamic kicks in then (at 30fps) But generally it usualy wasn't needed. I even ran without OC previous patches. It's not fun playing like this screenshot shows: What i've done to limit this issue is locking fps at 30 and my refreshrate at 1/2. So i've smooth 30 fps most of the time even when dynamic resolution kicks in and the dips is much smaller, drips to 25 fps in azureite delve encounters due all the blue lightning is do demanding. I wish we could have a command like --noasynch one but for the lightning behaviour. (or just in the options...) Atm i've no means of buying a new and better computer for time to come and this league made me almost want to quit. I love PoE but playing at 800x600 due dynamic resolution is not fun at all. I wish we had pre 3.0 times, where i could even record my gameplay with obs 1080p no problems, well sort of. Like this, this build back then used be one of the laggiest (vaal spark) And i barely lagg, and the lagg i do have is due me recording it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ab1zEW4W-gk I might make a new topic about this as well as i'm unsure if the devs will see this post.
