" That's why you would want a double corruption on your voidbringers :P With both Ele Weakness and critchance. That aside: The damage difference you get comes from the crit corruption - the higher level curse alone hardly makes a 10% total damage difference against bosses. On normal mobs curses are huge. And in deep delves that damage really does matter - especially once you get deeper and want to run enfeeble to curse ranged enemies. Then there is the point that with a 6link frenzy you can run a golem or a longer arcane surge. Especially a longer Arcane Surge duration doesn't show up in pob - but it matters quite a bit in BossFights. Ultimatly if you want to go for Damage the Frenzy Chain should be used for Indigion - no curse setup will outperfom ~225% Spellpower - and that's the number from the currently nerfed version. And in that case you might wanna go for the curse corruption - curse on hit is a detour imo till you reach the finished build. If you wanna stay with the Vertex and are fine with less QoL Links you could use the Curse on Hit setup. Even then I am fairly certain that a Cast on Crit frenzychain with Shapers Touch will outperform the Curse on Hit: https://pastebin.com/TUczxGjZ With Shapers Touch Frenzy has an 80% chance to hit and a 50% chance to crit which means it will proc arc 1.5 times a second. Arc deals (in this example) procced like this about 370k Shaper Damage. So roughly 530k additional DPS. This doesn't quite outperform the Indigon overall (since Shapers Touch costs us crit from Voidbringers on our normal Arc/Ball Lightning) but it does outperform the CoH setup quite a bit. So - I guess I would always go for the Curse on Hit corruption. Seems more promising and flexible and less clunky to play as well. Obviously that's just my take on it - Feel free to experiment and disagree with me. Experience and comfort in what you enjoy to gear and play trumps what a random person on the internet blathers about any day of the week. :) I enjoy those discussion, I do not mean to shut you up or anything. :) Last edited by Cyrix1337#4098 on Dec 28, 2018, 4:07:13 PM

So im trying out this build as well and im unsure exactly how to farm something like t15 tower maps because every time I try, I die on harbingers or syndicate mobs.
Here is my pastebin, if anyone can help me I would GREATLY appreciate it. https://pastebin.com/TWm8VdKJ I also have half the DPS as OP or less, but still cant figure out why im so squishy... Last edited by Blakells#7812 on Dec 28, 2018, 6:01:04 PM

If i'm not using Indigons I shouldn't be using power charge on crit in my 6l chest right? What is the preferred gem to replace that with? I read many different things in this thread so far. Vaal Righteous Fire?

You arent supposed to be able to facetank bosses at all are you? Because if you are im doing something absolutely wrong here...
Im being one hit by t15 bosses and my ES leech is so slow that if I dont get one shot then the second hit on my is usually enough to finish me off anyway... Anyone have a problem with this? It just feels so.. Squishy. Im using spider boots + aura, + ES discipline watchers eye + indigon have 6.5k ES on lvl 87 |

" 1. Purity of Elements for res Capping if no proper other gear is available. 2. Look exactly what Shavronne's Wrapping are for. :) |

So i've been enjoying the build. Got my 2 pens/6l shavs/aspect of the spider warlords mark ring. What i am noticing though is that Syndicate encounters are just wrecking me. I know more levels will help and i can improve my gear but it seems like they're all multi ex upgrades. Sorry for the vent i just like the build but i'm just not feeling the survivability.
Oh and i am normally running Vile Bastion i just respecced to try look at something. Last edited by nethermage#5835 on Dec 28, 2018, 11:01:16 PM

Hey guys, I have played this build this league extensively. I have uber elder on farm, delved to 600, and killed kurgul/aul in 600 delves and almost 40/40 challenges complete. I also have a casual 10400 es with shavs or 12000 with regalia. Here are my thoughts as a boss killer and as someone more interested in survivability.
1. The set up I am running is arc/ball lightning with flame dash+faster casting as movement skill for bossing. I find weapon swapping way too slow for the hardest boss fights. I still do use arcwarp for easy red map speed farming. 2. Indigon is a trap for the hardest boss fights. It provides way too little es and you need to take mana nodes on the tree, which further deprives you of es. The helm I am using is : crafted with dense+metallic fossil. Unfortunately I did not hit -9%% nearby lit res, although there is a helm up for mirror service with the mod and 430 es. I use a energy within instead of healthy mind in the jewel slot above witch, to convert life to 40% additional es. The helm gives you 1k more es than indigon, and the tree a further 40%. On the hardest boss fights, which is the only place indigon damage makes a difference, losing 1600 es is simply not an option. 3. The belt I am using is crafted with just dense fossil spam, and cdr veiled mod craft. This belt provides ~300 more es than a stygian, and the energy shield recovery rate boosts my leach and vile bastion by 20%. This means in maps or delves with 10k es, I will have 2400 es/sec leech and 3600 es/sec vile bastion, for a total of 6k es/sec, in addition to the es on hit from watchers eye. Comparatively, in the average 7k es build, you will have 3500 es/sec from leech and vile combined. This is a huge boost to survivability. The belt also have 12% cdr, which combined with 22+ quality in my frenzy links, allow me to hit 4.27 attack speed breakpoint for poets pen. This is a ~11% more dps gain compared to the 3.85 breakpoint. 3. I am using crafted rare boots just for additional es/resists. You can easily craft similar boots by alt regaling t1 flat es, then multimodding, you can get 20-24% move speed, 40 res, and up to 74% es thanks to the new crafted affixes. These boots are ~500 more es than fenumus boots. 4. auras I am using are purity of elements/disc on blood magic, and wrath/blasphemy ele weakness / spider aura or herald of thunder, with spider better in long boss fights, and herald better on trash/delve. Note that a lvl 12 coh ele weakness is 31% res, while a 20/20 ele weakness with 10% curse effect from quality blasphemy is 49.5 res, a huge difference. Also I dont use conductivity because both 20/20 ele weakness and 20/0 conductivity gives the same res, because quality increases ele weakness -res while quality does nothing important for conductivity. I also use call of brotherhood in delves so the -cold res is useful. No arctic armor since I am not using lightning warp. In delves I also sometimes swap over to enfeeble on hit gloves and take the additional curse in the tree, since enfeeble + stibnite flask is a very effective defensive combo vs non bosses. My ideal gloves would be double corrupted with spell crit and enfeeble on hit, but I have only seen 3 corruption chambers this entire league and nothing came from them. I don't think anyone else is using corruption chamber on voidbringers so it is also impossible to buy. 5. An example of a boss fight where my min max is needed is https://imgur.com/a/3TksFmi This is a 601 depth aul with curse reduction, 40% ele resist, and crit dmg reduction. Despite it having 0 damage mods, the boss does ~5k melee/charge hits, and 10k+ icicle bolts. The 60% curse reduction stacks with the 80% boss curse reduction, making our warlord leech and ele weakness completely useless. I dropped ele weakness for both HoT and spider aura for the little damage they provide. I was finally able to make progress on the fight by swapping in to hit 12k es and using purity of ice for 80% max res, so I can take a hit and not get one shot. The fight also took 10 minutes and plenty of dodging/kiting, since I still die from 2 hits. In comparison, I push Uber elder phases in 2 seconds. I am also using dream fragment for chill/freeze immunity, since you run out of flasks in a 10 min fight. Anyway that is my thoughts on the build. This is an amazing league for crafting, between delve fossils and new crafted mods, crafted rares have become extremely strong. I might delve further, but since delving requires buying sulphite scarabs one at a time in trade, that might take a while. editted with some more rares I have crafted since this post: Dense fossils are too good! " Thank you! That's the kind of quality post I hoped would show up since I am not minmaxing the gear myself anymore in 3.5 onward. |
