How hard is it to farm the cards for Poets Pen? I can't believe how ridiculous the price is staying...

I would say it's relatively easy to farm them, if you are playing and sustaining shaped museum. I'm questioning myself too why they are high, but well, not complaining earning money for selling them :D

Do farm Scriptorium. It drops both the Card for Poets as well as for Shavs. Either way its a good profit/an item for this build.

You can even do what I was doing and carry friends/ guildies/ randoms and just say ahead of time you're taking the drops they get xp :D. I was able to farm up my cards pretty quickly doing that.
Hey Duality, since your profile is set to private T_T darn me for refreshing the page.

Could you give us what you found the best CWDT set up was for the chest while runing vertex. I have the basics 3 CWDT/Imm/Inc Dur just not sure what else to link.

Also until we can craft a spider/warlords ring should we run 1 Spider and 1 Warlords ring or just skip spider until we can craft it on Elder.

Okay so it kind of depends on what you want but there are two different setups I run.

1st setup, offensive: CWDT (lvl 3), Immortal Call (lvl 5), Increased Duration, Phase Run (lvl 8) - you can make this higher depending on your dex., Arcane Surge (lvl 10), Summon Ice Golem (lvl 5)

2nd setup, defensive: CWDT (lvl 3), Immortal Call (lvl 5), Increased Duration, Phase Run (lvl 8) - you can make this higher depending on your dex., Arcane Surge (lvl 10), Vaal Grace (lvl 20/20)

It is really up to you what you decide feels the best for you, I like the defensive setup for deep delving, for mapping the offensive setup works for me.
Assuming I have a +energy shield discipline watcher's eye, how much of an impact will spider aura + fenumus boots make? Disregarding deep delves (my short term goals right now are just mapping and having fun with betrayal league mechanics + shaper/uber elder). Would it be worth it to use 2 ring slots for warlords mark + spider aura or should I just stick with 1 warlords mark + call of brotherhood.

Also, wanted to ask anyone using this build at end game (basically Duality), how is survivability against Betrayal stuff? Are you getting 1 shot alot?

Well aspect of the spider not only hinders the movement of your targets but it also increases the damage they take, so I will, at some point, be running it in my setup. That said I wouldn't sacrifice an additional ring slot for it. Typically I only run Call of the Brotherhood when I am starting to feel squishy, so basically in delves at lower depths, otherwise I go with Mark of the Shaper for the extra damage.

About my survive-ability I don't get 1 shot anymore, I will admit I hated the Betrayal mechanics for awhile, but once I got my ES to about 7k and managed to get an ES on hit watchers eye my issues pretty much disappeared. I actually just helped a friend get this build started and he said it was night and day between having the watchers eye and not.
Yo earlier we talked about ball lightning and that it does the most damage.
I was thinking about it today and i want to be sure about something.

So in PoB ball lightning has a lot less DPS than Arc. I figured thats the damage each ball does and since we hit the boss with multiple balls it gets multiplied and thats the true DPS of this skill. Then i thought that's dumb, PoB should take into account how many balls would hit the target with the appropriate cast rate and show that as DPS.

So how does that work for dmg calculation?
Is it something like one ball hits the same target multiple times (every 150 ms according to the wiki) and thats the stat PoB doesnt take into account?

I am sure Cyrix will have a detailed response to this question, but I believe one of the reasons we use Slower Projectiles is because Ball Lightning continues to deal damage every 150 ms, Cyrix hints at this when he says "depending on some things like positioning of the enemy and how long the ball is connecting". This becomes very noticeable when you take slower projectiles off, because if the ability did not hit multiple times based on its projectile speed then I would assume taking Slower Projectiles would actually be a damage loss.
