I used Vile Bastion with this build because I found the regen and extra ES best for what I was doing which was mostly deep delving. You can get it too, just drop Forbidden Power (spoiler alert, the build does a bullshit load of damage with or without it) until you have Presence of Chayula, or just rely on the brine king soul which will prevent you from getting stun locked at the very least...

You could even make do with an Eye of Chayula lol. But this would be my last choice.

Should I setup ball lightning or lightning warp when I get my second poets pen?

And what level does my enlighten have to be to run both discipline and purity of elements with blood magic or do I even run them both? A bit lost with that mechanic, if someone would care to explain it a bit I would appreciate it.

lvl 3 enlighten with vertex, level 4 without vertex.
And yes you run both.

The guide says ball lightning first but for farming lightning warp is wayyy better imo, the clear speed is insane and you can do most bosses on red maps.
Killing guardians will be kinda hard without ball lightning though.

On another note, someone was talking about call of the brotherhood some pages ago saying i quote

On pob it's a flat loss of dps, could someone explain the numbers to me? i don't get it.

Call of the Brotherhood is a damage loss, the reason some of us started using it was mainly delves... but the benefit applies to maps as well depending on how high your damage is. By converting a portion of your lightning damage to cold you freeze almost everything on the screen which keeps you safer (assuming there is no cannot be slowed type of mods).

The answer to your question kind of depends on what you're doing. If you're working on low tier maps then the LW setup is fine. If you're working on higher tier maps then go ball lightning first.

I am going to be trying a few things out, I am working on leveling right now so I will be making some changes to increase movement speed. So to avoid a flood of odd questions I am just going to keep it private for awhile :P.
