I think the base build (starter/ssf) might have the wrong annointment listed, since we already get Death Attunement via the tree.

PS: I really like written guides and updates, so I read the patch notes post, then went to the youtube video and left a like. :D

Man, the spectre nerf seemed unwarranted. Zombies and skellies were way worse in terms of damage and scalability right? It's not really the damage that bothers me. SD damage will still be god-tier, but they were already squishy. I can't see them surviving in UE anymore, and you're right about them in deep delves, Kay.

Still planning on league-starting with SDs but I can't hide my disappointment. Hopefully some of the new spectres will be fun and viable.

Regardless, I'm on the 3.10 hype train. Delirium just looks super fun as a league.

I did few test runs in SSF A10 Kitava all passives and 3 labs included from scratch (league start simulation). Finished in ~5h30m at lvl 64 - nothing special in my opinion. I'm very bad at inventory manangement and not using movement bind to sort inventory while Im moving. Hardest part from start till first spectres in act 3 and then after act 5 it goes pretty smooth.
So about skelly - I found out that they do outstanding solo target damage (so in 3.10 it will be nerfed) and was using them with 3-4 link Skelletons-Minion damage-Deathmark-MeleePhysdamage/PhysToLightning/Multistrike. I was using them from brutus kill till the end at bosses.
With Infernal Legion i used SRS from entering prison till i got Skitterbots.
So my question is what is the reason to use Skelletons with Infernal legion if you can use it with SRS + Holy flame totem on top of it if needed. I found out that I have massive issues with solo target damage(hard to kill brutus and merveil + they constantly killing our minions) at first act. So i can cast few times skelletons and forget about them until they die and spam srs with infernal legion instead instead. Tell me please what im missing considering that we are talking about league start simulation without any specific gear.

P.S at the same time zombies are pure trash. Until level 20-30 +- they will always die, so im not even bothering to summon them and starting using them with feeding frenzy at lvl 31. (just for buff to other minions)


It might just be a personal preference. but srs spawns from from you the caster, skellies spawn wherever your cursor is. and skellies spawn 2 at a time. this means that srs has a travel distance from you to the pack of mobs you're trying to kill and the infernal legion aoe might only affect half of the pack once the srs gets to the pack.
skellies on the other hand you can spawn in the middle of a pack and the infernal legion almost always affects the entire pack.

I lvl with skellies + infernal legion as main source of clear until act 5 where you aqquire prayer guards spectres. thats when you can basically start running through the rest of the story.

i've done multiple leveling runs and they are all between 4h 30 mins - 5 hours to a10 kitava kill including labs.

I usually swap to Spectres in A3 with Flame Sentinels. They do a great job on a 3/4 link with 3/4 link skellies IMO.

Also, you swap to Prayer Guards in A5 instead of SDs?
How well would this build / SDs perform in 3.10 and Blight maps?
Does SDs have a good range?

thank you very much for that detailed big guide! I've played spectre+zombies for leagues, but now my build will not be viable anymore. Your spectre+spiders build looks perfect for this league. Good clearspeed, which is obv good for mapping but will match perfectly with the Delirium-mechanic. I didn't knew that spectres until now, they are looking strong and they are looking like they will be strong in 3.10 too. So I am pretty sure I will play your build as fast as passible.

But is this build playable from day 1? I will level with srs+zombies, like the last leagues too....when do you make the transition into spectre+spiders?

yup.

prayer guard - gmp - spell echo - minion dmg.

i fell the clear is way better while leveling.
from act 6 i pick up phase run + inc dura. perma phase run + quicksilver to act 10 kitava. (i swap to solar guards in act 8)
Is there a noticeable change of the lower level of the spectres?

Damn I thought just one time I can read GGG's minds and necro ascendancy will get nerfed :D
Well we're simply forced to use the new cluster jewels to be as powerful as before and with EVF's high HP the survival nerf isn't really bad either.
I was expecting worse things to happen, also I'm a bit sad +1 spectre body armour mod isn't craftable yet.
