" not AFAIK you aren't scaling your own damage Have you seen the sun exile? THE TRUE SUN?
|
|
" Not at all. None of the stats matter because they don't affect minions. Same for Pledge of Hands. Thanks for asking. I'll add a note about this to the guide! 🔰🌀✨ Video guides on youtube! https://www.youtube.com/KayGaming ✨🌀🔰

" Hiya, Kay. The revamped build guide is great and really shows all the work you put into it. You certainly deserve all the attention it's getting. Did you discover something that made you revert back to Conc Effect in place of Ruthless support for EVF spectres? PSA: There are two crit notables that will affect spectres in new jewels: Everyone has seen Vicious Bite (+50% CSC, +50% CSM), but there's also Precise Commander (+50% CSC, +15% CSM). This will definitely be my league start--there's just so many new spectres to try out and so much fun to be had that I can't start with anything else. Don't know if I'll go Spiders and Spectres--it will be interesting to see if the EVF AI is somehow improved by the changes to spectres. I'll probably keep experimenting with Impale Support spectres, too (Rotten Claws + Renewal is yummy for impale spectres).) I don't expect they'll be in the same class as the usual suspects SD/SG/RVA, but with all the new spectres available who knows... GL with new league! |

" Hmm, I haven't seen this one up close in action. Does the aura affect allies? If so, could be a great support spectre. |
|
" " Thanks for posting this! Will the Baranite Cleric grant the buff to allies (other minions)? That could be really useful. Its cast time is a bit slow though. Might be good with Pledge. I'm mostly interested in Legion monsters because of how rippy that league. Heavy Guard, Scorpion Sentinel, Karui Firespeaker, Angered Ancestor, Templar War Maiden, Hyrri's Watch. Hyrri's Watch could be interesting. Its default attack is some sort of ranged attack with 75% cold conversion. So, Hatred + Grip could be a good way to scale it. Turong is probably useless. The big fireball attack looks really good, but the AI script doesn't use it directly, so it is probably triggered by something else. I think it will also have a very long cooldown because you never see the fireball spam in delve. There will be a lot of testing to be done. And lots of youtube content (mine and others). 🔰🌀✨ Video guides on youtube! https://www.youtube.com/KayGaming ✨🌀🔰

" I think the theory of Ruthless is good, but the damage increase from shock is based on getting a crit and the damage range of lightning damage. Without the spike, Ruthless adds average 44% more damage (132% divide by 3 swings). Conc just gives a flat 54% to every hit without needing any proc/crit. So I feel that the reliable damage boost is better than the chance for a spike. Also, Conc is used for the spell spectres (SD/SG/RVA), so it can be used for both. I did a very limited test in a Sirus run. Against Drox: with Conc, I could kill him before he started using his invulnerable banner. With Ruthless, he was able to use a banner. I also felt killing Sirus was a little less smooth. I'm not sure Vicious Bite will be that useful. 50% increased crit chance takes 5% crit to 7.5%. If it stacks with power charges (650% or 700% if you have both notables), then it's a big deal, but spectres basically can't get power charges in endgame boss fights unless you want to use PCoC. I think Vicious Bite and Precise Commander are designed for minions other than spectres because you support them with chieftains for charges. Actually when I looked at the new jewels, I think they are mostly for other minions. Master of Fear (Enemies you Curse are Intimidated, Enemies you Curse are Unnerved) is great actually because it gives a straight 10% more damage even against bosses. Some of the defensive jewels are good too, eg. Surging Vitality (8% increased maximum Life, Regenerate 0.5% of Life per second, Every 5 seconds, Regenerate 10% of Life over one second) Unspeakable Gifts (Enemies you Kill have a 10% chance to Explode, dealing a quarter of their maximum Life as Chaos Damage) will be good for the spiders since poison counts as a player kill. 🔰🌀✨ Video guides on youtube! https://www.youtube.com/KayGaming ✨🌀🔰 🔶🔷🔶 Kay's Summoner build guide: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3179145 🔶🔷🔶 Last edited by kayella on Mar 10, 2020, 3:14:28 PM

" Wow. There are three things that affect this build: Raisee Spectre level nerf Raise Spectre 25 will give level 81 spectres instead of level 85 (PoE 3.9). 4 less levels = damage reduction of 20%. So if you use SDs in the EB & MoM build, they go from 3M DPS to 2.4M. It doesn't really bother me because that's still a lot of damage. Spirit Offering nerf No life -> ES Big change that removes an abuse mechanic, so it's a fair nerf. I didn't expect it to remain anyway. I only used it for spectres and spiders, so I'll just switch that to block based like the other builds. Feeding Frenzy nerf Feeding Frenzy still applies the feeding frenzy buff, so no real problems there. I'll still recommend it as a 6th link for SDs for mapping because it prevents them from not attacking. 🔰🌀✨ Video guides on youtube! https://www.youtube.com/KayGaming ✨🌀🔰

If this leak is true, then 20% less damage doesn't seem like a big deal, but what about survivability of the spectres because of the lower level? Block will be enough for them to keep them alive?
Sorry, haven't played this build in a while. | |
" 30% less life for level 85 to level 81. Block should help keep them alive, but ground degen and dot will be deadly. 🔰🌀✨ Video guides on youtube! https://www.youtube.com/KayGaming ✨🌀🔰 🔶🔷🔶 Kay's Summoner build guide: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3179145 🔶🔷🔶 Last edited by kayella on Mar 10, 2020, 4:20:02 PM
