I din't find FIRE TRAP
Did they just nerf Trap Support gem? Instead of having better supported Trap damage, you get throwing faster? Throwing fast is fine but not if supported Skill has longer cool-down?? It does work better with Lightning Trap since it won't have cool-down.


It seems like you are much better off taking the new Charged Trap gem since it gives you +critical and +throwing speed and +damage. Why would anyone take Trap Support that just gives you 20% throwing speed?

Maybe if Trap Support gem also gives -Mana discount? That way a spamming trap user can consider it?

I thought they improve Rain of Arrow as well or just the Vaal version? Bummer. With the newly improve Blast Rain, nobody would consider Rain of Arrow? I like the new randomness in Rain of Arrow to make it more different from Blast Rain.

They're unidentified as of yet for more possible nerfs.

So what is the deal now? What numbers are correct? The official patchnotes or this? Can GGG confirm that the numbers from todays posted gems are going live? IF so whats the deal posting yesterday some wrong numbers. I mean you cant tell us that your balance team made within 24h all those changes.

Damn why there cant be a single launch without such up/down shit within last hours? Its as crazy as the charges/tinkerskin thing they made.

This is extremely important with little or no information on it, especially considering there are some funky interactions between skills and supports (like with Decay Support) where the tags of the skill can affect the tags of the support. So, in short:

Are the 2 skills gained from Vaal gems treated as separate gems with separate support setups, or will they affect each other in any way (aside from sharing level and quality stats)?

You can see in some ZiggyD videos on Vaal gems how it works. It acts like 2 separate skills = If you have linked Vaal skill gem with support, that works with normal version of skill, but not with the vaal version, then normal skill is supported and vaal skill isn't. Meaning you can have like 6L normal version + 5L vaal version.

Thing with vaal auras + mana reserve multipliers is another question. I think it will work as suggested = Vaal haste + inc duration will increase mana reserved by normal Haste. On the other hand you don't have to use normal "haste" to be able to use Vaal haste! And if you want to use both, then you can have one setup with normal skill gem and one with vaal gems (like before 3.3). But this is just my opinion, I'm not sure if you can link normal Haste + inc duration, if not, then there won't be any increased reservation.

I understand the first part, which is why I'm hyped about possible combinations in the first place. My worry is whether the regular version of the skill will be affected by the Vaal version in any way (it is on the same gem, after all), especially in terms of the whole "tag inheriting" business I mentioned.

I worry because I do intend to use both Vaal and regular versions of certain auras, specifically a {Vaal Clarity + Vaal Discipline + Increased Duration} setup. There's absolutely no sense in the regular auras in this setup getting higher mana reservation (because normally they don't have a duration component and thus cannot be supported by IncDur unlike, say, Herald of Thunder), but they still could get it. Stranger things have happened in this game, I'm sure. :)

Meh, I guess we'll see in about 30 hours...

Disappointed about about Incinerate nerf (when compared to what was shown in ZiggyD's video).

I mean I get that numbers shown earlier are not final, but if you are going to make all the effort for making a promotional video to showcase a reworked skill, you should at least make some effort to show numbers that will be accurate (or not show numbers at all).

Also the skill was pitched as the skill where you can use it with ignites, but most people don't realise this was never going to be efficient with this skill (focusing on hits is the way to go).

Had several new build ideas in mind. I guess now only Arc Trap remains. For now.

Getting closer to sunder by the minute.

Considering arc does literally double the single target it used to i'd put that down as a mjol buff myself :p

Its actually even more than that with mjolner because of the +1 chain, dual wield them for even more damage!
