Tencent has Invested in Grinding Gear Games

"Invested" 80% of the shares is more like Tencent has BOUGHT Grinding Gear Games.

But, unlike most people it seems, Im not worried. The game will be good. The biggest question I have is am I supporting GGG if I buy supporter packs or is the money going to a 130 billion dollar corp (Tencent is worth more then facebook folks think about that for a second.)

Im hoping they see value in the company and want to be apart of the growth, and let GGG run the show. If they do that then the game will be fine. If they start dipping their toes into GGG's water, I'm out. however the game is doing well so I doubt that's going to happen.

Not gonna lie though... it feels like GGG sort of sold out. But GGG deserves the money they got Im sure.
When GGG sold 80% of the company to Tencent?

And do you believe it would be difficult for Tencent to bump their holding to 90% if they wanted to or if GGG did not listen to their guidance on the game's development?

Just offer a premium on the shares and remaining holders will accept with open arms.

Yes. Very difficult.

Chris owns over 13%.

Just check NZ Companies register it tells you everything you need to know.
I'm guessing Chris had some really bad night in poker and needs to compensate.. Kappa

Some questions:

-Does this mean PoE is doing very well, as companies want to invest in you?... Or does this mean PoE isn't doing well, and needed investments to stay afloat?

-What happens when suddenly GGG takes a turn for the worse financially, can Tencent step in and change things?

-In the Q&A you say Tencent sometimes requests features, which are then sometimes only for the chinese version... which kind of features?... Did we get them? ..And which features the chinese version has gotten/will get did/will we miss out on?

Thanks!

This means that the company is doing well overall.
In general such acquisitions lead to process optimizations, reducing of production costs and increasing profitability.

However without seeing the contract we can only speculate on what the terms of this deal are.

The real question is what happens when Tencent decides to sell their shares?
I'm really really concerned about this and honestly very scared my favourite game will go down the drain in the next months...
Because of that I'm reconsidering buying the new supporter pack when the new league starts. Not saying I won't, but will think about it at least twice, instead of instantly buying it. It's a hard decicion to spend 60$ if you know (simplified) at least half of it doesn't even go to ggg and also worrying that outside influence will make it worthless for me in the forseeable future.
