Why people judge before they actually see anyway.
No one have any reason to take hands in poe when GGG goes so well with it in all those years.
Why tencent invested i can think of too many answers. Like ideas for future games from people that actually know how the things work anyway.
I have read comments like iam not gonna buy any more support packs etc. Why the hell no. You buy support packs to say thanks to a game that give you so many hours of game play for free anyway.
If tencent is smart they wont do anything to change poe. Why change a game that work so well in years with devs gives content all the time anyway.
No one know what they have signed anyway about poe in contracts.
I can continue but you got the point.
This investment probably goes the right way for so many reasons

Anyway Good luck ggg and keep up the good work.

Maybe u try play that game before saying smthing? Game Engine still crashes, testers still fails(everytime smthing unreal buffed, smthing unreal nefred), no normal support from ggg(no chance get normal answer from GGG on forum, no normal support engine), with every patch much more and more pay to win things, next league will be timed(ppls who wanna play non dmg builds(<500k go fap on youtube on main content).

Tell me pls what a reason to sell good game to someone?

People judge before they actually see. There is too many example in the world sure. But i tell it another way. I try to see the good things in everything they happens if that is possible. Maby i search in wrong planet ? maby. One is for sure. When i see this game goes the wrong way i can just leave it. So simple. Until then i can always hope and let me see the good things that allready exist on it anyway
My guess is there is a special clause in the contracts that GGG will keep creative control as long as they perform above a certain threshold (financially), or something else of substance that they can base their claim that they will be keeping control of the game.

If so that's all the more reason to keep supporting the game, and I believe that's what we should do at least until we are given a substantial reason to do otherwise.

I believe GGG truly love their game, and they wouldn't sell to another company without some kind of assurance.

That is unless they were in a terrible financial situation and this was their only option, which if true would still be a good thing since they would be going out of business otherwise

Well guess you don't need to sell Supporter packs anymore, and I probably won't be buying any.

We can all pray this turns out okay like Digital Extremes and Warframe, but then again they were bought by a Chinese agricultural company (who actually kept their promise of non-interference) not Tencent.

Warframe? Warframe is pay to win game, if you did not notice, that is not something I would classify as "ok"

Really? Nobody is going to feed this troll?
There are two types of POE players:
1) Those who want to walk uphill both ways barefoot on broken glass wearing a blindfold
2) F*cking noobs

I identify as transnational Chinese. May I have access to their QOL features, please?

I'm Actually see last 3 years how that game engine Actually crashes.
Great answers to some very concerning questions; hopefully you'll (be able to) stick to them...
Risky move anyway.
"Metas rotate all the time, eventually the developers will buff melee"

If ggg in that situation no normal content we will see more.
"We have been approached by many potential acquirers over the last five years, but always felt that they didn't understand Path of Exile, or that they had other agendas (like signing users up to their services). "

Which ones? What were your requirements?

"We develop almost all features on the international version. But sometimes, Tencent will request features that they want to try in the Chinese version that we don't plan to roll into the international version. If those features turn out to be a really good fit for both versions, then we of course port them back into the international version. "

Sooooo, these features won't ever be implemented into the main game cause you don't want them. Right?
As you said "but [we] are not planning to prioritise the Chinese version of Path of Exile ahead of the international version"

What is the interest Tencent has in POE by the way ? What are the terms of the contract?

Also : "Our Chinese publisher, Tencent, has acquired a majority stake in Grinding Gear Games."
and "We retain full control of Path of Exile and will only make changes that we feel are best for the game. " seems A BIT incompatible.

Anyways, I trust you guys. Much love <3
I shall purify you in flame, noob of nightmare!

POE

Spoiler

Just : WHY ?
honestly this seem to be more like the end than anything...

This game was a exemple for all indie compagny and you sold it for what ? Profit ? Growing ?
We all know that big = bad, big just want more money and they don't care at all if, for that, they sell shit or pure gold. And usually they just end selling shit in a golden bag...

... nothing
Some questions:

-Does this mean PoE is doing very well, as companies want to invest in you?... Or does this mean PoE isn't doing well, and needed investments to stay afloat?

-What happens when suddenly GGG takes a turn for the worse financially, can Tencent step in and change things?

-In the Q&A you say Tencent sometimes requests features, which are then sometimes only for the chinese version... which kind of features?... Did we get them? ..And which features the chinese version has gotten/will get did/will we miss out on?

Thanks!
