This screams, Daybreak/Renova/Sony Online Entertainment acquisition all over again. Go back and read the BS that Brad McQuaid spewed out and look where it is all now.

" 1)Chris is welcome to sell the company - but that decision can have negative consequences. The post I replied to was suggesting that WE should financially subsidize GGG to (optimistically) prevent any of those negative consequences. So no, I won't be doing that. 2)'Voting with my wallet' is exactly why I've supported GGG in the past. "SUPPORTER PACKS" were exactly that; support for an independent dev team to ensure they can remain independent. It turns out that is no longer the deal. Now it's a "supporter pack" for a company who is majority-owned by a foreign investor. I'm out from here on, not because GGG owes me anything (as you would strawman it) but because I don't owe them anything. Chris chose to sell the company. I (and others) choose to no longer be a supporter. Whatever happens after that isn't the fault/responsibility of the community. |

Yep, it is the Chinese way of going World Domination. All players in Path of Exile will soon be owned by the Chinese.
And yes, this is of course meant as a joke. It is not meant to be taken seriously in any way whatsoever........ ........................ Or, uummmm, is it?! |

" I remember that OH TO WELL. Daybreak RUINED EQ! |
|
" Bingo.... I'm an old school EQ player going back to the Verant days and I lived through that stuff. This is what is going to happen. They are going to want to MAKE MORE MONEY on their investment, and the best way to do that is pay to win. Pay for faster advancement. Pay for premium account status. Pay for primo armor sets and loot drops.. pay pay pay. It probably won't happen overnight. It is going to happen incrementally. RIP POE |

At last.
This will save me a few quid. |

I didn't mind spending money on a smaller company. Now that's over.

Can't believe you sold the majority. That seems foolish.
Definitely not inclined to jump on supporter packs anymore |
