did GGG overdo the Oni farm nerf?

It's doable, I just did it with 3 level 7 characters over the course of about 3 days. Only farmed for one sword, but my build centered around it and I cannot afford the 1.4ex price tag. Only took getting to about 40% on each character, but I've heard it can take much longer. The payoff for such a tedious process is a pretty awesome weapon.

Though I'm not sure if I would do it again for the next league.

considering how powerful the sword can be, 6-linked on top of it, available from the beginning and being able to be farmed deterministically unlike most other uniques, it seems to be just about right after the nerf IMO. sure, it is a total pain, but so worth it :)

What jokes? That you can do all content with Poet's Pen? Can you farm a Poet's Pen? Is there a specific place to farm the wand? Cards? No? Ok.

You can always buy the Oni the same way as you can buy the Poet's. So what jokes?

I just recently learned of this sword and build for Bestiary, but I am afraid to start farming it since the league is almost over. I might give it a shot since I have no currency and I like the long grind. Global said it was a waste of time last night. I'm torn.

Not nerfed nearly enough, evidently, as it is still present in the general consciousness of Path of Exile. It needs to be more fringe even than it is, because people still whine about it on the forum and in general chat.

When that stops, and people do it because they want to and know the consequences, then the goal is reached.

Do a few Hillock runs and see how you like it. I farmed it when it was easy because I found Hillock runs relaxing, and I was kind of sad when I finally DID get the sword. Some people find each run boring, and just feel disappointment when they get the sword. I'd say if you're like me and find the runs relaxing, then do it. If you're like the general populace and find Hillock runs boring as dirt, don't do it. You won't know until you try a few.

I thought it was too much before. But then I don't like farming a map twice in a row or even same day. Some of you guys a gluten for punishment/grind. NTY.
