did GGG overdo the Oni farm nerf?

Loads of hours just as I am bored and wating, alpha realm not constantly up... TOO HARD DROP NERF

Just because you have two chars at level 7 doesn't mean you have to get one.
I got one at 40% of lvl8 when "it was easier to obtain it". Needless to say my first and last time I went to farm it. |

Its was too easy before, it is quite a bit harder now but is still obtainable. Not sure if its overly hard, but would be nice if it was slightly easier.
Its pretty painful to farm for but once you get chars to that level you can continuously farm it and make money as some do. |

Kidding aside, it's where it needs to be. Just keep running, just keep running. What's sad is that I got it, and it sits in my stash. |

It was the most dumb, boring and painfull thing i ever did in POE. And it was worth every minute of it.

Short answer is NO!
I stuck it out on 3 swords, 1 came in mid-level 8, 1 in upper level 8, and the 3rd I had to grind all the way to 2% into level 9. It is a pain to have to grind that many beach runs but the sword is very nice to have for many builds. I agree with Chris that there were too many Abyss players running around with an Oni-Goroshi (I farmed 5) and GGG had to make the grind longer to reduce the quantity of them in Bestiary League. So having to grind another level or two was a logical course of action to reduce the quantity. Now that I'm burned out I'm undecided if I will want to grind for one next league in June. I definitely will not be grinding for one in Flashback just for < 1 month of use. The short league will require a faster 10 act run through. "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."

It's a six linked sword, able to beat all content - and "equipable" from level 2. An item letting you forget about weapon upgrades for literally the whole game shouldn't be easy to get. Think it's at a nice spot now.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

HEY!!! I spent some time grinding a couple of those up but put the game down shortly afterward. Might have to come back and dig around on my characters and in my stash to find them and build something fun.

I farmed a bunch of them before the nerf. It was kind of fun. I like a targeted farm. I don't think I'd do it again, though. After the nerf it takes longer to farm one of these things than a Doctor card.
