What's wrong with bestiary? Let's talk.
" There are ten tiers of nets to make sure that you don't feel like you are wasting them if you use them on lower levels while leveling up. It's a very simple and efficient solution. | |
" And what is the point of "net tier" anyway? It's like making different tiers of portal or ident scrolls. Absolutely pointless. If nets are necessary, there should be only 2 tiers - "normal" and "necro" nets from very beginning. That's all. Especially, if "pokemon content" will be added to core game and beasts appearance will be even rarer then now. Nobody will bother with some low level nets or low level beasts, as low level recipes are crap and if you want to get rid of unwanted pokemons, you have to spend 1 c each time or do some useless recipe and risk that some valuable pokemon will be consumed. So everyone but completely new players will ignore every net and pokemon during the campaign anyway. Probably some players will catch pokemons later in maps, with "universal" and necro nets. |

" Really? I have 1500 t9 nets in my stash. Not bought even single one. E = mc^(OMG)/wtf

" it's just bullshit. there is absolutely no need for more than one type of net and even that is too much unless u want to forcefully wrap some economy shit around it. to be honest: there shouldn't be any nets. clicking on a button should just release a net animation and capture the beast. “Human decency is not derived from religion. It precedes it.”

It feels so bad to accidentally kill one you're trying to catch, completely dwarfing the feeling of accomplishment for successful captures since there's no immediate reward. It's more stressful than fun.
I feel like too much is out of my control, even when I'm careful. Hypothetically I'm waiting for a super rare thing (one of those legendary key beasts that let you fight the bosses) to show up. I don't have control over when or where or mods or terrain or spacing. Because of the random nature of the encounter, I probably won't get another chance. If I fail, I won't be able to apply what I learned from my mistake and have the satisfaction of correcting it. That's so frustrating! While playing this league, I've learned that there's a big variance in max hitpoints for different kinds of beasts, made greater by the abundance of monster and map mods. That's pretty cool, but it makes it very difficult to judge how much force to apply. Getting swarmed and mousing over this thing's hp bar while also trying not to die to its attacks... Sometimes that's a fun challenge. I enjoy the extra complexity. But... When I fail to catch something, I feel blamed unfairly. I killed a monster. It's flavorfully weird in this game that that was a mistake. I appreciate all the effort that must have gone in to making this league. So many mechanics, areas, and art... Really impressive, and so I'm sad that I don't like the implementation. I think it's a neat idea, but I dread it being made part of the main game the way it is now. Softcore, solo self-found.

Just quick question: anyone think that GGG read such type of threads? :'D
E = mc^(OMG)/wtf

" most of the times they may read but they never answer. My teory This part of the forums are here for people to flame each other, since most of the suggestions the regular players cant answer lol if they can be added to the game or cant Only a dumbass pays for a F2P game.

Bestiary league could be 95% less annoying - when you encounter rare monster with bestiary mod you kill it and thus you 'capture' its mods. No need in annoying nets or in annoying new NPS.
Idea behind this league was fine, but implementation feels annoying & boring & pointless. Hope the only thing from it which will be moved to core game somehow is new 'aspect' skills with their unique items and ability to craft 'aspect' skills on rares. retired from forum because of censorship and discrimination Last edited by DivineChampion on Apr 30, 2018, 11:37:02 PM

" So this post by GGG looks like a direct admission that they are ok creating content that is so gated that only a very small % of the player base will ever experience it. I sure hope that this content was easy to produce. I'd hate to learn that GGG spent major programming resources to produce content that is seldom accessed. Same for the menagerie. I did a walk through it after I had a few dozen captures and it looks cool to see all these captured beasts penned/caged but the coding of it must have been a significant amount of time. Most will never care where the captured beasts physically are stored and just go from the portal to the sacrificing arena and never view the rest so that is just wasted effort. So sad... "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. The perfect solution to fix Trade Chat: www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2247070 |
