Please dont go for "Yes" when the margin is as small as it is now. Please just for once keep true to your own thoughts about this game without giving in to the vocal minority. And yes, this is coming from someone who's motto in PoE is "gotto go fast"
Yes, more common
I myself do not like this one bit at all, i would much rather it was revamped. Or made as a curse u can activate like someone proposed, or atleast it should be made available to be done differently, idk just doesen't fit in at all for me
@Stodderkonge
Is it really hard to change net to work as “marked to be captured” without any time limitation and without stunning beasts? And give nets some AoE?

I also think that capturing beast is dumb, but as golemancer, I say that current mechanics needs to go. I don’t have full control oover what I kill and most of time or my golem kill beast before I manage to throw net or go DPS something else when I throw the net.

If they don’t change this, I can as well go playing on Standard, because playing league when you can’t enjoy league mechanics is pointless.

I voted “yes” for any change of this crap.
Anticipation slowly dissipates...

Voted no. I want mechanics that force me to adapt my tactics and play in new ways. This will force clearspeed builds to sacrifice a socket for a less damaging skill, thus mixing up gameplay. That's what leagues should do, and it's something this game desperately needs. It's a decent, if insufficient counter to the clearspeed meta.

That said, as a compromise to the compromise, there could be added nets that give targeted monsters a huge resistance to all damage taken. It would be rarer, but provide a very safe option for glass cannon builds.
The most efficient way to play would still be to play smartly and differently, though.

Unfortunately in Bestiary league "playing smartly and differently" is another way of saying "don't play certain builds if you want to be a more effective beast hunter".

That is not an inclusive way to design a league and I suspect is the reason GGG are actually putting this out to the community for a vote with the specific mention of hoping to allay minion and totem player troubles.

I don't think every build SHOULD be able to be an effective beast catcher. Just like not every build is an effective mapper and not every build is an effective boss killer. That's kind of the draw of the beast thing to me is that it's another thing to build around.

Not sure you're arguing for the balance of hunting to be made more equivalent to all builds but the inclusivity comment made me go that direction in my head.
I vote no.
It feels cheap to kill something and then capture it. There is no challenge in doing that and the beasts have no chance to escape if they're dead.

Amen.Things are so divided I don't even know what to say...

Some wants change so they press impulsively yes w/o thinking about it and that's telling if you go on reading comments.Don't let this percentage ruin the mechanics.Refine them, you always say we come with bad solutions, find one better.Dead nets isn't a solution.
Bye bye desync!
The capture mechanics is shit.

The speedclearing meta has nothing to do with it. There are MASSIVE differences in how difficult it is to capture beast for different builds. The capturing is not a single boss you're speccing for, or lab, its the ENTIRE LEAGUE MECHANIC.

A controlling, ranged build will be able to capture at their leasure. A more squishy melee build will have to deal with strong, dual beastiaried rares, their adds, avoiding mechanics and at the same time targeting the correct mob in a sea of bullshit, at the correct hp level.

This is by far the worst thought out mechanic in this game I have ever seen, and I hate absolutely everything about it.

As a comparison, last league I enjoyed abysses. The color scheme was cool, the extra challenge was spot on, the scaling was great, chests at first, then abysses and finally bosses. GREAT.

Everytime I see a beast I grind my teeth. Everytime I see a red beast I just skip it to avoid the bs.

I actively try to avoid league stuff! This league is a huge fail. The design of the book is cool, but thats it. I hope this league will leave the game when its done and I'll never have to see it again.

Edit: As an edit, I see a lot of morons that dont want dead nets. Why? If you dont want to use them, YOU DONT HAVE TO. I wont force you to play my way, why the hell should you force me to play yours?

Edit 2: Another thought about this terrible mechanic. The level reqs for nets. While I somewhat get the thing that nets get more powerful (yay, more bs items...) there is NO GOOD REASON for nets to not be able to capture lower level mobs.

Someone posted here that it is better to remove nets entirely, and just let the creature be caught when you 'kill' it. This would be perfect as well!
No! Just No!
3 seconds is good.
