No. Part of this new mechanic makes the players slow down and not just blaze through and clean up later... please keep as is.

Current mechanic is alright, sometimes frustrating. The rare nets to salvage a frustrating situation are actually a good compromise.

Beasts are animals, not currency.
"capturing" them while dead turns them into currency. The current 3 second window is more then enough, there is no reason to allow "capturing" dead beasts. |

Keep it that you must net live beasts. But change the mechanic so that the net is applied in radius of clicked area and all beast of that radius - lets say 3, will be captured if defeated in time(if captureable). Than I would add gear in the game that can increase that radius. Beast Hunting gear.

" Interestingly enough I did look at the BHC ladder and disregarding the aura guardians which is really a minuscule percentage besides the ladder I saw necromancers, sunder, frost blades and some wanders. But that is really besides the point, I dont think people climbing the ladder can be expected to play anything other than speed clearing builds. Of course I just listed 3 builds that came to my mind but you should get my point. The builds really dont feel much different except for the skill you choose because the only concern for all builds is to go as fast as possible and kill stuff before they get an attack in. Here's the thing : I don't want anyone to play builds they don't want to play but I want different builds to have some place in the game. Meta builds will not suck just because they can't catch every yellow beast they come across. They already do every damn thing better than a no-clear no-dps build as you like to call it. Conversely don't you think some people who can't or don't want to play the game this way where you can't even bother to throw a net at the mob you saw 2 screens away might also quit the game? |
