Playing with poison I see the problem some players have with this. I suggest making nets that do catch dead beasts, but only within a period of 4 seconds (as it means "recently") and to be rare. I stand with my original vote of yes but more rare.
Most people vote no because most people are not playing builds that kill quickly. It looks like this won't happen with the current results of the poll, but player feedback is key.
If DoT's are killing your target then net earlier. That's what the grace period they patched in is for. You can net the target, and then let the DoT's finish it off.
I voted no because I quit the league on day one and don't care.
It would be too easy if you add in those nets. I prefer having to try and get the creatures hp as low as possible to be able to capture it. It gives it a better feeling when you do manage to catch it. If you could capture a dead beast this mechanic seems kinda pointless.
Release the fear because I am Immortal!
(While I voted no, as I posted earlier in the thread...)

Perhaps all that needs to be done is:

New flask pre/affix: "Poacher's/of restraint" Cannot deal a lethal blow to an enemy for the duration of the flask effect.
With this, you could throw your net, and then go crazy with damage in the 3 seconds you get with no worry about killing the enemy (is this how it already works/should work?)

While I don't think the nets need to fully stun an enemy, they could rather inflict a slow to their movement speed... but even if it fully stunned for even longer than 3 seconds, the real challenge to killing these beasts is in the Menagerie's arena with the other monsters in the "recipe"... that's where these should really be dangerous.

maybe even...
New Gem: Tamer's Bravado (acts like a curse+Blasphemy) prevents lethal damage to capturable Yellow/Red enemies under its effect - no effect on trash monsters, and a much larger range than Blasphemy.

FFX had the Capture auto-ability on its own set of weapons for its Monster Arena (and I think they had a better system than this monster arena - with the unlocking of new beasts when you capture all of one region's beasts, all of one species, etc, leading up to the ultimate side boss of the game - and the drops let you customize your spheregrid, really powering up your characters - as well as providing ingredients to craft some of the strongest weapon mods in the game - like "break damage limit" that let you make your own versions of the celestial weapons, without bothering with some of those hideous mini-games, and no RNG for the crafting.)

If this system gets rolled into the main game, there should be more things that can be done with the beasts in the menagerie besides sacrificing - perhaps:
* Breeding
* Harvesting their fur, horns and other re-growing parts that become a recurring resource that doesn't require killing - might require food to keep them healthy and producing the best quality crafting ingredients.
* Also, meat/milk/etc for ingredients for temporary meal buffs. Some require killing the animals for this... but not all (Iron Chef battles!) (some of these food items could be fed to other beasts in the menagerie...)

Just some thoughts.
Add them, but decrease the level of the dead beast, like every 4 seconds by one, like it's quickly decomposing. You would lose at least one level of the beast anyway, because it was not captured alive and more levels if you didn't secure it's carcass quickly enough.
No!

It would make having nets be a pointless currency sink with no challenge. Aren't captured beasts going to be trade-able? If you can't kill it fast enough, good; if people are killing them too fast to capture them, GOOD!! It will balance out in the trade economy.

As someone pointed out earlier, if we're going to be bagging dead beasts, you might as well just mark them for automatic entrance into the menagerie. Netting dead beasts would make the entire capturing mechanic and challenge pointless.
Why do people vote no? It's not like they will force you to use the nets that capture dead beasts. People who do not wish to use the proposed nets do not have to. Makes no sense what so ever.
No. I play a build that deals a massive amount of cold damage and easily freezes and shatters mobs. I don't think it'd be fair to release a type of net that not all player's builds can use.
I say no.

This should not be a carrion league. It takes no skill to facebash your target and then dance around it calling it a little bitch and scoop it up in your happy net.
Why are people voting no? Use your head. Think about summmoners and bleed /poison players.

This league mechanic is broken and needs help. Voting no is not helping. At least this is a bandaid.

Your view is very flawed and you aren't seeing the big picture.
