Oni-Goroshi in Current League - are You gonna farm it or drop it?

Little over 9 hours total between 4 characters and still haven't met UH. Will edit if I ever do...

First char is almost level 8 while the rest are mid level 7.

As stated by others once you get to level 7 there is no need to keep killing zombies and definitely avoid wasting time on the spitters (insignificant xp). All that matters is the very low rng chance that the zone will roll uber Hillock or not (mostly not). So running up your xp doesn't help get you better a rng roll on the next TSB instance. Only time I shoot anything as a ranger is when I can get a triple kill with 1 arrow (rare), the zombie is right in my path, or the zombie is in my way killing Hillock. Otherwise just run past. By level 7 you should have been lucky enough to get 10% speed boots. On my 3 UH farmer rotation I did have the unfortunate bad luck of having all 3 exiles into level 8 (typical for me) before UH finally came up on the PoE rng slot machine.

By focusing on Hillock kill runs only/mostly you should get UH to come out and play with your exile in under 3 hours of game time x 3 exile rotation = < 9 hours total physical time. My Metamorph UH sighting and kill came at just under 3 hours:

I will seriously miss this part of PoE come PoE 2 and no more six link weapons to chase after. Chasing a 6L skill gem just won't ever have the same impact as TSB farming for Charan's Sword and with so many skills available if patch 4.0 still has the TSB UH challenge for a 6L skill gem it'll probably be a rng skill gem drop meaning I'll get one that is a garbage skill. SIGH! If I won't be able to pick the skill that I get to 6L upon killing UH (99.99% sure GGG won't give us any choice that way, just more 100% weighted rng drop bullshit) then that will definitely be the end of UH farming. Now I understand (mostly) why Charan quit so suddenly and dramatically.

Congrats on sticking out the grind and finally getting UH to come out of his cave and play with you. The spiral dance of death (circle attacking) is fun since the melee changes GGG made in Legion League and UH being a slow brute. Also too bad that endgame is a clusterfuck speed mess such that you can't do this kind of real melee boss fighting (way too rippy). The 74% crit is bad but you can easily change that with the right orb.

Same thinking for me too when I'm in the "I'm bored with mapping" mood so I'll do a few runs with my other 2 UH farmers once in a while and hope to get another UH sooner than later. Now that I'm really liking my Blastchain Toxic Rain Saboteur and all maybe I'll find a Pyroclast mine or some other fire build to use this sword with that will be endgame viable. I've run Cyclone with it in previous leagues deathless through the acts and some are playing it this league but I'll be looking for a new skill I haven't played that also fits my personal "fun to play" criteria (once I level my BC TR Saboteur to 90). Still looking for build ideas so has anyone found/made any great OG sword builds this league?

When i farm OG its only OG runs. Im not going further because i wont came back to TS. But thats me.

Alright, total of 8 hours in and my chars are lvl 7.8 atm. Playing with 4 scion all of them has %10 inc movement speed boots.
All my chars can kill hillock before he fases. So, I'm scared now that I might actually missed the oni-goroshi spawned hillock before he fases and kill him. Cuz, I split my screen to watch something on the side to not die out of boredom.
It's small so I might actually have missed the uber hillock.
Is it possible to do this mistake ?
I'm scared and exhausted guys. Please someone tell me it's not true so I can keep farming :')

ALRIGHT!!!!! I GOT IT!!!!!! Guys this has been a roller coaster of emotions.
Total play time is 9 hour 22 minutes.
All chars just made it to level 8 and I'm so glad that it didn't took much longer to spawn.
As my question up there, no you can't kill uber hillock before he fases. It's already to tanky. fight took around a minute or two.
